Abstract: Use of sonar systems to collect dimensional and relational data for use in metrology, mapping, object and structure detection, survey and evaluation applications is disclosed. Systems and methods for collecting underwater data sets, using registration targets, for data registration of underwater acoustic data sets, as well as for data registration of underwater acoustic data sets with above-the-waterline data sets (e.g., laser-based data sets) are described.

Abstract: Tine assemblies (100a, 100b, 104) are secured by a single bolt (126) extending diametrically through each tine (120) located in a cavity (112) of a tine plate (110). An outer tine assembly (104) is connected to a sleeve (116) rotatably mounted on independently rotatable shafts (102) to which inner tine assemblies (100a, 100b) are connected. A tine cover (50) removably closes an opening (40) in the top plate (28) and in which weights (70) are removably received over the tine assemblies (100a, 100b, 104). Transport wheels (134) are moveable by pivoting a stop plate (140) to position an upper pivot axis (150a) of an abutment bar (150) ahead of or behind the stop axis (142) and lower pivot axis (150b). A stop (146) positioned on the stop plate (140) without the use of tools adjusts the depth of the tine assemblies (100a, 100b, 104).

Abstract: A shroud and shroud hanger are provided wherein at least the shroud is formed of ceramic matrix composite material. The shroud and hanger extend in a circumferential direction. A generally C-shaped clip extends radially to retain the hanger and shroud together.

Abstract: One exemplary system can receive a selection of a dataset via a graphical user interface (GUI). The dataset can represent a time-series projection. The system can feed the dataset into a first machine-learning model to obtain an output indicating whether the time-series projection has a data value that should be overridden with an override value. If the first machine-learning model indicates that the time-series projection has the data value that should be overridden, the system can feed the data value as input to a second machine-learning model to obtain an output indicating whether the override value should be greater than or less than the data value. The system can then render a visual directionality cue within the GUI based on the output from the second machine-learning model. The visual directionality cue can provide guidance for overriding the data value.

Abstract: A power cable assembly includes a power cable extending between a first end and a second end having a hot conductor and a neutral conductor. The power cable assembly includes a circuit protection device along the power cable between the first and second ends. The circuit protection device has a ground fault circuit interrupt (GFCI) device configured to sense a current difference on the hot and neutral conductors to initiate a triggering event. The circuit protection device has a high-power relay device connected to the GFCI device. The high-power relay device is connected to the hot conductor and is configured to open the hot line when the triggering event is initiated by the GFCI device.

Abstract: Derivatives of N,N-diethyl-N?-phenyl-piperazine, a silent agonist of the mammalian ?7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, are provided. These silent agonists control the desensitization state of the receptor. Further provided are pharmaceutical compositions that allow the administration of the silent agonists of the disclosure to a subject animal or human in need of treatment for a pathological condition arising from such as inflammation. The novel silent agonists also may be co-administered to a patient simultaneously or consecutively with a type II positive allosteric modulator to modulate the activity of the receptor.

The method also includes etching the semiconductor layer to form first and second fins using the first and second cap portions as an etch mask. The method also includes removing the second cap portion to expose the top surface of the second fin and forming a gate dielectric layer on the first and second fins. The method further includes forming a conductive layer over the gate dielectric layer, selectively etching the conductive layer to form first and second gate structures, forming an interlayer dielectric layer over the gate structures, and planarizing the interlayer dielectric layer using the first cap portion as a polish stop.

Abstract: A plumbing adapter is proposed to allow electric heating elements to be placed into the ports of an existing pressurized hot water tank. The adapter allows the heating element to be inserted into either male or female tank plumbing fittings without rotation, so it allows the use of bent or shaped heating elements. This allows a heating element to be placed near the bottom of the tank and in an inclined or near-horizontal position to improve convective heat transfer. The adapter allows electric heating elements driven by photovoltaic panels or grid power to be placed into existing or new water tanks that are heated by propane, natural gas, or electric power.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided relating to evaporation of solvents from samples and to prolonging the time taken to carry out an evaporation procedure. A cap for engaging with an open end of a sample container comprises an engaging surface for engaging with the open end, and a body portion which extends over the open end. The body portion is preformed to define an opening which provides a fluid pathway between the open end of the container and the surroundings of the container, such that the cap impedes vapor flow from a sample in the container to the surroundings of the container. A holder for receiving a plurality of such caps is also provided and a method of evaporating a solvent from a sample in a sample container is described.
