  • Patent number: 5184558
Abstract: A pallet of lightweight corrugated paperboard includes spaced longitudinally extending members intersecting spaced laterally extending members by means of inter-engaging notches in alignment with the cross-members. Either of the longitudinally extending members and laterally extending members may have cutouts forming channels for receiving points for the tines of pallet lifting equipment. The lifting points for the tines are entirely unbroken horizontally extending panels with added support panels increasing the width of the lifting point. Each member is scored on only one side, and symmetrically folded inward to form a solid core of corrugated paperboard panels.

  • Patent number: 5156328
Abstract: A securable cover for containers is provided, the cover having top and side panels in registry with the upper, lower or both ends of the container. The side panels have opposed and aligned apertures in each corner thereof which receives a flexible strap. The strap is horizontally disposed through each aperture, around the outer periphery of each side panel, and is fastened to itself at a selected point for securing the cover in place over the container.

  • Patent number: 4651918
Abstract: A divided cell container and blank for making it, the container formed from paperboard, particularly corrugated paperboard. The specific improvement of this invention relates to the addition of alignment panels to the divider panel. These added alignment panels insure that when the container blank is folded in forming the container, the divider panel will be aligned with respect to the edges of the remainder of the blank and thus will be properly positioned in the erected container. The container may be closed or may be open at its upper end.

  • Patent number: 4361267
Abstract: An octagonal container having a unique bottom closure and a blank therefor are provided. The body of the octagonal container includes a pair of major wall panels, a pair of minor wall panels, and four corner wall panels. Each major and minor wall panel is foldably connected to a corner wall panel on either side. In the preferred embodiment, one of the minor wall panels is formed from two pieces, which are secured in overlapping relation to one another. The closure section includes a pair of rectangular major cover flaps, a pair of rectangular minor cover flaps, and four polygonal corner flaps. Each major cover flap is foldably connected to a major wall panel. Each corner flap is foldably connected to a corner wall panel. Each minor cover flap is foldably connected to a minor wall panel. In the preferred embodiment, one of the minor cover flaps is formed from two pieces, which are fastened in overlapping relation to one another.

  • Patent number: 4272008
Abstract: A divider is disclosed which may be assembled in several different multicellular configurations. The divider is formed from a one-piece rectangular blank separated into two panels by a central longitudinal slitted-and-scored line. Each panel is further divided into two end segments and four intermediate segments by transverse score lines. The divider is assembled without gluing, and can be used to divide a single carton into five alternate cellular configurations.
