Abstract: A distraction frame includes a table mount for removably mounting the distraction frame to a surgical table; at least one horizontal strut mounted to the table mount; at least one vertical strut mounted to the at least one horizontal strut; and at least one distractor mounted to the at least one vertical strut, wherein the at least one distractor is configured for connection to a limb of a patient and for applying a distraction force to the limb of the patient; wherein the table mount comprises at least one wheel for selectively supporting the table mount above the floor and the at least one horizontal strut comprises at least one caster for selectively rollably supporting the at least one horizontal strut on the floor so that the distraction frame can be selectively moved to the surgical table supported by the at least one wheel and the at least one caster.

Abstract: A camera for polarimetric, multispectral imaging is described. Such cameras are used in photonics, computational imaging and multispectral imaging in which both multispectral and polarimetric sensing modalities are used simultaneously for detection, recognition and identification. The camera enables multiple spectral images to be recorded simultaneously using polarizing beamsplitters and mirrors to divide the image according polarimetric and spectral bands. These multiple, polarized images are recorded on a single focal plane array (FPA) simultaneously. An image processor allows for the resolution of the subsequent image to be improved.

The tang structure contacts portions of the rail and portions of the table edge to enhance the load-carrying capability of the table side rail assembly. The extender further provides its own stand-off-mounted rail and a quick release clamp for securing the extender to the table. The tang structure is formed to allow a single extender to be used on either side of a surgical table where the stand-offs are not evenly spaced apart. The extender body is formed from a lightweight, strong carbon fiber composite material. Further enhancements protect exposed corners of the extender and protect potential high stress surfaces. An angularly orientable attachment is provided for use when two width extenders are used simultaneously on opposite sides of the table. In a lowered, horizontal orientation the attachment acts as a table length extender.

Each player throws a die to determine how far he can move his token across the board. Providing that the player can correctly answer a question read to him from a selected question card, he can remove a letter from the square on which he landed and use it to construct a word or phrase on his game card.

Abstract: A multi-pole generator rotor and a method of making the same are disclosed. A multi-pole generator rotor includes a rotor body having a central portion with a generally cylindrical outer surface. The outer surface includes three pairs of diametrically opposed slots extending along a length of the central portion, with each of the slots being sized to receive therein a plurality of wires. Each of the slots further includes a pair of opposed retaining flanges. A plurality of retaining members are sized for insertion into a corresponding one of the slots. Each retaining member engages a pair of the retaining flanges from its corresponding slot. The retaining members thereby retaining the wires disposed in each slot against radially outward displacement.

Abstract: A portable music desk, including a cylindrical container for storing a length of flexible sheet material. The container has a outer tubular wall with an axially extending slot opening, and an internal winding mechanism for retracting the sheet material through the opening, and for allowing a desired length of the sheet material to extend from the slot opening in the outer tubular wall. A strut arrangement braces the sheet material in a flat and steady work position when the material is extended from the container means, so that the material acts as a back rest surface for a music sheet. A telescoping floor stand is adapted to engage the circumference of the container, and to support the container a desired height above a floor surface.
