Abstract: Stable back pressure control devices are used to control fluid pressure in a wellbore to provide constant downhole pressure. Back pressure may be estimated from a correlation between the speed of a mud pump and the pressure exerted from the pump. Drilling plans disclosed herein provide for the continued operation of one or more back pressure control devices for providing constant bottomhole pressure when casing connections are being made.
