  • Publication number: 20070001081
Abstract: A hanger for a musical instrument comprising: a base bracket arranged to be secured to a surface from which the instrument is to be hung; the bracket comprising projecting arms that define an open slot therebetween; a locking cap adapted to be secured across the arms to close off the slot; and means to lock the cap in position onto the bracket whereby the neck of the musical instrument is located within the open slot so that when closed the slot prevents removal of the instrument and the hanger supports the instrument suspended from the hanger.

  • Patent number: 6808757
Abstract: A method of coating a substrate comprises the steps of applying a coating composition to selected areas of the substrate. The coating composition comprises a mixture including at least a reactive part. The reactive part comprises between 30% and 100% multi-functional material, and is photoinitiator free. The coated substrate is exposed, in a curing zone, to ultra-violet light from at least one lamp which has a power output of at least 140 watts per linear centimeter. The ultra-violet light initiates curing of the coating. A substantially inert atmosphere is maintained in the curing zone where the substrate is exposed to the ultra-violet light.

  • Patent number: 5603859
Abstract: A rotary valve for use in the release of a molten solid from a vessel comprises a valve member having a passage, inlets to the passage being present in the head of the member. The valve member mates with a wall of a seating member, the wall having a taller first section and a lower second section selected to close off or open the inlets, respectively. The wall portions are shaped relative to the surfaces of the member to avoid metal freezing and the parts sticking. The passage includes ribs to cause the stream to emerge with parallel sides.

  • Patent number: 4665966
Abstract: A riser sleeve has at its end which is uppermost when the sleeve is located in the mould a holding member which can be engaged by a mechanical holding device so as to adapt the sleeve to automatic handling. The holding member may be for example a disc, ring or solid or hollow cylinder and may be formed integrally with the sleeve or formed separately and fixed to the sleeve. By adopting a standard shape and size for the holding member for a wide range of sleeve shapes and sizes the same holding device can be used to handle the whole range of sleeves.

  • Patent number: 4464555
Abstract: A torch, useful in air-carbon arc processes has a holder (9, 11) for an electrode (E) and gas control means comprising a venturi air injector (4), arranged to pass both compressed air (F) and induced air (Fi) along the electrode to the tip (Et) to cool the electrode, increase the rate of removal of metal and reduce consumption of electrode and compressed air.
