  • Patent number: 8844314
Abstract: A clear ice making system and method utilizes an ice tray including a plurality of ice forming cavities extending into a fluid supply cavity. Fluid supplied to the fluid supply cavity flows into each of the plurality of ice forming cavities and out through respective fluid outlets located in a bottom portion of the ice forming cavities to a fluid outlet chamber below. Cooled ice forming members extend into respective ice forming cavities. Fluid is continuously cycled through the ice forming cavities and around the ice forming members during an ice making event such that clear ice pieces gradually form on each of the ice forming members. During an ice harvest event, ice forming members are heated to release formed ice pieces, and the ice pieces are transferred from a fresh food compartment of a refrigerator to an ice storage bucket located in a freezer compartment of the refrigerator.

  • Publication number: 20110214447
Abstract: The present invention refers to an ice-making machine provided with an ice formation reservoir (2), an auxiliary tank (6) and an ice storage region (5). Inner part of reservoir (2) is provided with a transport element (16), a shovel (4) with angular movement and a finger-type evaporator (3) forming ice pieces. During ice manufacturing process, shovel (4) moves periodically at low frequencies so as to attract impurity particles and water salts, leaving them far from ice piece formation regions. Through the machine of the present invention, impurity-free ice pieces are produced.

  • Publication number: 20100001084
Abstract: The present invention relates to air conditioning equipment capable of controlling the level of relative air humidity through a closed-loop system, enabling a stable relative air humidity level to be obtained for a pre-adjusted value. Thus, the present application describes air conditioning equipment comprising at least one cooling system and a humidification module associated to each other, said humidification module characterized by being removably built-in to the air conditioning equipment and by being controllable independently from the cooling system through at least one electronic sub-module.

  • Patent number: 6276156
Abstract: According to the present invention, an air directing housing is provided for an air conditioning unit of the type having a basepan which supports indoor and outdoor sections. The basepan includes a vertical wall extending upwardly for a part of the height of the unit to define a lower portion of a partition which separates the unit into the indoor and outdoor sections. The indoor section includes an evaporator disposed in the basepan generally forwardly of the partition. A centrifugal fan is mounted between the evaporator coil and the vertical wall for rotation about an axis extending from front to back of the air conditioning unit. The fan is a centrifugal flow fan which has a circular inlet at the front thereof. The air directing housing is adapted to be mounted in the basepan rearwardly of the evaporator coil and surrounding the fan. The housing includes a lower section having a front wall which has a circular opening formed therein which is substantially coextensive with the circular inlet of the fan.
