  • Publication number: 20230058286
Abstract: A method and system for detecting and determining icing conditions. The method includes: creating a statistical model from test data in which set of data from n data inputs are each plotted as a point in n-dimensional space, and wherein the n-dimensional space is divided into a plurality of regions each representative of a different icing condition according to the data in that region; for a set of current data from n data inputs, using the model to classify the icing condition indicated by the current data, by: obtaining current data from n data inputs; providing the current data as input data to the model; determining the region of the model in which the current data set is located; and identifying the icing condition indicated by the current data set according to the determined region.

  • Patent number: 11561536
Abstract: A building management system is provided. The building management system includes one or more variable air volume units and a controller. The controller includes a processor and a memory. The memory stores processor executable instruction. The processor executable instruction when executed by the processor cause the building management system to perform functional tests on the one or more variable air volume units of the building management system to generate building data; analyze the building data to produce health information per functional test; and visualize a condition of the building system based on the health information.

  • Patent number: 11499731
Abstract: A forced air handling system includes an automated monitoring system. A method of operating the automated monitoring system includes initiating a calibration mode of operation via a controller. A plurality of dampers may then close via the controller. Once closed, a duct in communication with the plurality of dampers may be pressurized. A first air flow measuring exiting each one of the plurality of dampers may be obtained by a flow sensor. The duct is then depressurized and a second airflow measurement is taken, via the controller, exiting each one of the plurality of dampers. The controller calculates a statistical difference between the first and second airflow measurements.

  • Publication number: 20210229818
Abstract: An ice detection system for an aircraft surface includes a sensor assembly comprising a plurality of temperature sensitive elements configured to be arranged at respective points on the aircraft surface, a control unit arranged to receive signals indicative of a temperature sensed by each of the temperature sensitive elements, a signal conducting bus to transmit the signals from the temperature sensitive elements to the control unit, and means for providing power to the sensor assembly, wherein the sensor assembly further comprises a multiplexer arranged to multiplex the signals from the plurality of temperature sensitive elements into a single signal for transmission on the signal conducting bus to the control unit.

  • Publication number: 20210148593
Abstract: An air conditioning system includes a service system, a central treatment unit, and a plurality of zoned segments each adapted to condition air in respective zones. The service system includes a controller, specification data, a results module, and an optimization module. The specification data is stored and applied by the controller and includes information pertaining to at least one component of the air conditioning system for each zoned segment. The results module is stored and executed by the controller, and is configured to receive a sensor signal indicative of an operating condition, which is outputted by a sensor of each zoned segment, to determine a need for service. The optimization module is stored and executed by the controller, and is configured to apply the specification data, the need for service from the results module, and allocate a discipline of a plurality of disciplines relative to the service.
