In implementations, a stylus for a computing device is configured with one or more light-emitting elements configured to selectively illuminate one or more visible light regions of the stylus. Generally, the light-emitting elements may be employed to illuminate the one or more visible light regions of the stylus in order to indicate different notifications, states, operations, properties, actions or behaviors. In one or more implementations, the one or more light-emitting elements are controlled to illuminate the one or more visible light regions of the stylus with colored light corresponding to a current digital ink color of the stylus.
