Abstract: The telecommunications network has access switches and at least one nominal data base for mobile subscribers capable of accessing the network via several of the access switches. Each of the access switches has a table containing service data relating to fixed subscribers having terminals permanently connected thereto. The nominal data base contains, for each of the mobile subscribers, service data having the same nature as the service data relating to the fixed subscribers and mobility management data. The service data table of each access switch via which mobile subscribers can access the network receives, in addition to the service data relating to the fixed subscribers, service data relating to the mobile subscribers connected to the network via said access switch, which have been uploaded from the nominal data base during procedures to locate said mobile subscribers with the access switch.

Abstract: The terminal and the user module are authenticated in a combined manner on the basis of an authentication key calculated on the one hand by the terminal and on the other hand by the network. A session key is firstly calculated by the user module on the basis of a secret user key, of a terminal identification parameter and of a first random number. Calculation of the authentication key by the terminal involves this session key calculated by the user module, a secret terminal identification key and a second random number. The network calculates in the same way the session key and the authentication key by retrieving the secret keys on the basis of the identification parameters transmitted by the terminal. The terminals can then be authenticated by the network independently of the associated user modules.

Abstract: The installation comprises a remote loading mode in which in response to a remote loading request word (R) for a predetermined number of value units emanating from the autonomous set (PA), there is provided:an active authentication of the autonomous set (PA) and of the access system (SAA);a calculation of a remote loading passkey (KCH or (SCH, PCH)) at the level of the authorization center (CA);a transmission of the enciphered remote loading passkey destined for the access system (SAA);a secure remote loading of the prepayment means (MPAY) originating from the access system with the aid of the remote loading passkey thus transmitted.
