  • Patent number: 7913464
Abstract: An assembly device for at least two laminated glazing elements each including plural individual glazing elements that are rigid and assembled to one another at the surface by bonding layers, which succeed one another in a direction of extension, partially overlapping in contiguous edge regions in perpendicular projection on faces of the glazing elements, and are assembled to one another in this limited overlap region on the edge side. Only one portion of the rigid glazing elements, at least one individual glazing element of each laminated glazing element, extends into the overlap region. This allows a smooth continuous transition from one laminated glazing element to the next with a visual effect of an extremely transparent glazing.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 25, 2005
Date of Patent: March 29, 2011
    Assignee: Saint-Gobain Glass France
    Inventors: Christian Eckelt, Roland Leopoldseder
  • Patent number: 7273532
Abstract: An assembly element to be inserted into a bore, with two compensating elements fitting one into the other and having eccentric bores. The assembly element is provided for transmission of forces to the inner surface of the hole of the bore and for positioning the longitudinal axes of a fastening element within the through-bore, and is produced with a smaller radial dimension with respect to at least one exit of the bore in the outer face of the plate for forming a slot and can be fastened in the bore by a sealing agent filling the slot. An assembly element for a laminated pane, which includes at least three individual panes and has at least one hole passing through all the individual panes for installing or accommodating a rod-shaped fastening element, includes an attached element with a through-bore to be fastened to the outer panes, and a mechanism for aligning deviations of the hole centers of the two through-bores.

  • Publication number: 20040055697
Abstract: An assembly element (5) to be inserted into a bore (4), with two compensating elements (6, 7) fitting one into the other and having eccentric bores, said assembly element being provided for the transmission of forces to the inner surface of the hole of the bore (4) and for positioning the longitudinal axe of a fastening element (3) within the through-bore (4), is, according to the invention, produced with a smaller radial dimension with respect to at least one exit of the bore (4) in the outer face of the plate (1) for the purpose of forming a slot (11) and can be fastened in this bore (4) by means of a sealing agent (15) filling said slot (11).

  • Patent number: 6519903
Abstract: An attachment device for panes of glass. The attachment device includes retainers arranged between each pane and a support structure. The retainers include structures to compensate for the dimensional differences, deformations and displacements between the pane and the support structure. Degrees of freedom of rotation of the structure include uni-axis pivot joints. Strung together degrees of freedom in translation may be produced within the joints or by installing the joints in such a way that they can move. Panes can be mounted in a statically determinate manner by virtue of an appropriate combination of degrees of freedom.
