  • Patent number: 11919069
Abstract: Drive device for a stopper closure on a metallurgical vessel, including a housing arranged on the vessel in a removable manner, an adjustment system mounted in the housing so as to be height-displaceable and has a drive which can be coupled to the housing, and an upper connection element for a support arm carrying the fire-proof stopper. The adjustment system for the stopper is mounted so as to be height-displaceable on at least one bearing shaft fastened in the housing. This design of the adjustment system permits an increase in the stiffness of the drive device and hence of the fire-proof stopper suspended by the drive device on the support arm during pouring.

  • Patent number: 8632432
Abstract: A supporting and drive belt including a belt body or sheathing which encloses tensile carriers. The running surface of the belt can be flat and parallel to the belt back or have trapezium-shaped or semicircular ribs and grooves, wherein the profile of a drive pulley or of a deflecting pulley is approximately complementary to the running surface of the belt. One or more tensile carriers are provided for each rib, wherein the tensile carriers are laid or stranded alternately in the “Z” direction and the “S” direction.

  • Patent number: 7757472
Abstract: A synthetic fiber cable has the strands of a strand layer mutually spaced apart. With the mutual spacing, the strands of the outer strand layer can move radially in the direction of the cable center and exert a radial pressure on the strands of the first inner strand layer. The radial pressure is passed on from the strands of the first inner strand layer to the strands of the second inner strand layer. The radial pressure is passed on from the strands of the second inner strand layer to the core strand. The radial pressure increases inwardly from strand layer to strand layer. The soft cable sheathing does not act as a support between the strands in circumferential direction.

  • Patent number: 4422011
Abstract: High-pressure mercury vapor discharge lamp containing rare gas, mercury, sodium halide and at least one halide of at least one of the rare earth metals Ce, Pr, Nd and Lu. The lamp is suitable for a nominal power in the range from 10 to 2000 W. The molar ratio of rare earth metal to sodium, Ln:Na, has a value from 1:20 to 1:1 and the quantity of mercury, A, has a value from 2 to 100 mg/cm.sup.3. Ln:Na and A have in these ranges a low value for lamps having a high value of the power, and higher values according as the nominal power of the lamp has a lower value.
