Patent number: 6633229Abstract: A method for allocating identifiers, that are contained in signals issued by transmitters arranged in a tire pressure monitoring system, to the positions of the wheels by transmitting the signals to a receiving and analysis circuit, which analyses the information, contained in the signal, wherein for differentiating between wheels on the right side of the vehicle and wheels on the left side of the vehicle, the sign of a translation acceleration b is determined for each running wheel, the sign of the variation of the centrifugal acceleration z occurring during the translation acceleration b is additionally determined and multiplied by the sign of the translation acceleration b determined for the respective wheel, and the differentiation between wheels on the right side of the vehicle and wheels on the left side of the vehicle is effected by comparing the products of the two signs determined for the wheels.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 2001Date of Patent: October 14, 2003Assignee: Beru AktiengesellschaftInventors: Norbert Normann, Roland Michal, Ralf Kessler, Andreas Kühnle, Lothar Gunter Schulze

Patent number: 6446502Abstract: The invention relates to a method for assigning identifiers, contained in signals emitted by transmitters in a tire pressure control system, to the position of the wheels where the transmitters are located. Said system comprises a pressure sensor, a transmitter and a transmit antenna on each of a plurality of wheels of a vehicle, one or more receive antennas on the vehicle body, and receiving and evaluating units connected to this body via cables. In this method, the signals containing the identifier are intercepted by the receive antenna(s) and transmitted to the receiving and evaluating units, where they are evaluated in accordance with their identifiers. The invention is characterized in that, for the monitored wheels, not just the air pressure in the tires, but also the acceleration obtained from the movement of the wheel is measured.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2000Date of Patent: September 10, 2002Assignee: Beru AktiengesellschaftInventors: Norbert Normann, Roland Michal

Patent number: 5416292Abstract: The ignition distributor comprises a housing, in which a distributor rotor (4) is rotatably mounted, which comprises a first electrode (9) close to the axis of rotation (5) of the rotor, a second electrode (10) at that end of the rotor which is remote from the axis of rotation, and between said electrodes an electrical line (11), which connects the two electrodes. The housing is closed by a distributor cap (1), which is provided on its inside surface with a plurality of peripherally spaced apart stationary electrodes ( 3 ), which cooperate with the second electrode (10) of the distributor rotor, and also comprises a center electrode (2), which terminates at a small distance from and defines a spark gap with the first electrode (9) of the distributor rotor. One electrode of the pair consisting of the first electrode (9) of the distributor rotor and the center electrode (2) is pinlike and the other electrode (9) does not surround the pinlike electrode (2) or surrounds it around less than its entire periphery.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 1993Date of Patent: May 16, 1995Assignees: Doduco GmbH and Co., Eugen DurrwachterInventors: Horst Behnke, Roland Michal, Klaus Bahm

Patent number: 5360673Abstract: A semifinished product for electric contact made from a composite material based on silver-tin oxide is described as well as a powder-metallurgical process of making said product. The structure of the semifinished products contains regions which contain no metal oxide or very little metal oxide in alternation with regions which contain the entire metal oxide component or a greatly predominating/share thereof in a fine division.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 1990Date of Patent: November 1, 1994Assignee: Doduco GmbH + Co. Patent number: 5220575Abstract: The electrode consists of a metal carrier (1) and a surface layer (3), which has been deposited on the carrier and has a thickness of 0.1 to 20 .mu.m and consists of a material which differs from the carrier material and distinguishes from the carrier material by having a smaller work function and lower thermal and electrical conductivities and is selected from the group tungsten, niobium, tantalum, rhenium and chromium. The carrier (1) consists of a deeply drawable material. There is preferably also an interlayer (2) made of a highly conductive metal.Type: GrantFiled: December 4, 1990Date of Patent: June 15, 1993Assignees: Doduco GmbH + Dr. Eugen Durrwachter, Eltro Gaselischaft fur StrahlungstechnikInventors: Wolfgang Bosch, Thomas Bregel, Joachim Ganz, Roland Michal, Karl E. Patent number: 5078103Abstract: The distributor comprises a rotatably mounted rotor, which has close to its axis of rotation a first electrode and has at its end that is remote from the axis of rotation a second electrode, which is connected by an electric line to the first electrode. The distributor also comprises a housing, which is closed by a cap, which is provided on its inside peripheral surface with a plurality of peripherally spaced apart fixed electrodes for cooperating with the second electrode of the roto. The cap is further provided on its inside surface with a center electrode, which terminates at a distance from the first electrode of the rotor to form a spark gap therewith. To form a positive joint with the cap the embedded portion of the center electrode has a non-cylindrical peripheral surface, which is rounded and free of any edge.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 1990Date of Patent: January 7, 1992Assignees: Doduco GmbH & Co., Mercedes-Benz AktiengesellschaftInventors: Klaus Bahm, Roland Michal, Horst Behnke
