  • Publication number: 20050269299
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for welding a metal foil to a metal pin, these components being intended for use as supply conductors in lamps, the metal foil being pressed onto the metal pin in order for the welding process to be carried out, and the region of the metal foil which adjoins the metal pin is heated and melted in punctiform fashion at a plurality of locations via a laser, so that after the molten material has cooled, the metal foil and the metal pin are joined to one another in the vicinity of these locations.

  • Patent number: 6244737
Abstract: The invention relates to a motor vehicle headlight lamp having a metal-plastic cap whose electric connections are constructed as contact lugs (16, 17). According to the invention, the two contact lugs (16, 17) in each case have a groove (16c, 17c) in which in each case a supply lead wire (12, 13) which is guided out of the lamp bulb is fixed to the corresponding contact lug (16, 17) by a welded joint. Furthermore, the contact lugs (16, 17) are equipped with means (16f, 17f) for threading the supply lead wires (12, 13) into the respective groove (16c, 17c) and the lamp cap has at least one cut-out (18) which serves the purpose of carrying out the welding of the supply lead wires (12, 13), arranged in the grooves (16c, 17c), to the contact lugs (16, 17).

  • Patent number: 5984751
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing an electric incandescent p which has at least one incandescent filament (31) and an anti-dazzle device (20). According to the invention, in the course of the method, an end (31a) of an incandescent filament (31) is threaded into a notch (23) on the edge of the anti-dazzle device (20) and fused with the anti-dazzle device (20) by melting the material of the anti-dazzle device (20) in the region of the notch (23) so that the melt wets the incandescent filament end (31a) arranged in the notch (23) and the incandescent filament end (31a) is embedded in the solidified material (20a) of the anti-dazzle device (20) after the melt has solidified.

  • Patent number: 5856723
Abstract: The invention concerns an electrical incandescent lamp with a low-beam cap, articularly a two-filament halogen incandescent lamp and a production process for such a lamp, as well as a low-beam cap. Low-beam screening cap (12) has an opening (14), through which one end (6a) of low-beam filament (6) is threaded. This filament end (6a) is welded to the back side of low-beam screening cap (12) or to a current lead wire (8a), which is attached by a projection welding to the back side of low-beam screening cap (12). The fastening of low-beam filament (6) according to the invention makes possible materials savings in the case of a low-beam screening cap (12) and lower cost lamp manufacture.
