  • Patent number: 10989134
Abstract: A method for operating a fuel injection system for a vehicle is provided. In particular, the fuel injection system includes an injection nozzle having a nozzle body, a nozzle orifice and a nozzle needle movable in the nozzle body. The method including: measuring an actual injection timing of the injection nozzle during injection based on an electrical signal generated by the nozzle needle through an electric contact with the nozzle body so that the electrical signal identifies an open state and a closed state of the injection nozzle; calculating a deviation of the actual injection timing from a scheduled injection timing of the fuel injection system; and controlling the injection nozzle by adjusting injection parameters of the injection nozzle based on the evaluated deviation.

  • Patent number: 7769535
Abstract: Method for dosing fuel injected into an engine, with a fuel quantity for an injector, the fuel quantity being divided into pilot and main injections for respective activation duration having activation duration corrective value, the method may include storing correlation data between fuel injection quantity and activation time under at least a state parameter of the injector, wherein the fuel injection quantity includes reference total injection quantities determined for predetermined operating states of the engine, determining a present operating state of the engine, placing the engine into one of the predetermined operating states, determining a present total injection quantity and a reference total injection quantity in one of the at least a state parameter of the injector, and defining the respective activation duration corrective value for the pilot and main injection considering a difference between the reference total injection quantity and the present total injection quantity.

  • Patent number: 5425767
Abstract: An anchor for an artificial ligament (1) in a bone (2). The anchor comprises a Y-shaped socket (3) having first and second arms (5, 6) configured at an acute angle with respect to each other. The first arm is sized to receive the ligament and has cross-grooves (15) for gripping the ligament. A bullet shaped clamp element (4) is rotatably mounted to the second arm. The clamp element also has grooves that directly contact the ligament to apply an oblique force against the ligament. The clamp element and the cross-grooves in the first arm completely surround and compress the ligament to frictionally secure the ligament to the socket. This configuration distributes the overall pressure so that the specific pressure at any one point is reduced.
