  • Patent number: 8402300
Abstract: In a device and a method to execute commands in components of an imaging system, in particular of a magnetic resonance tomography system, local clocks in the components are temporally synchronized, commands, including a respective command execution time specification which respectively specifies at which point in time a command should be executed, are sent to the components, the commands are received by the components, commands and command execution time specifications that are received by components are stored in these components, and a stored command is respectively executed when a time indicated by the local clock coincides with the stored command execution time specification regarding the command.

  • Publication number: 20120075126
Abstract: Apparatuses and a method for transmitting a counter signal in an imaging system are provided. Counter states of the counter signal are Gray coded to Gray coded counter states before transmission. Every second Gray coded counter state is inverted to an inverted counter state. • Publication number: 20110028744
Abstract: A process for the production of liquid epoxy resins, including: contacting a polyhydric phenol and an epihalohydrin in the presence of an ionic catalyst to form a halohydrin intermediate reaction product; concurrently: reacting a portion of the halohydrin intermediate reaction product with an alkali hydroxide to form a solid salt suspended in a liquid mixture including a dehydrohalogenated product and unreacted halohydrin intermediate, wherein the alkali hydroxide is used at less than a stoichiometric amount; and removing water and epihalohydrin as a vapor from the reacting mixture; separating the solid salt from the liquid mixture; reacting at least a portion of the unreacted halohydrin intermediate with an alkali hydroxide in the presence of water to form an organic mixture including an epoxy resin and unreacted epihalohydrin and an aqueous solution including a salt; separating the aqueous mixture from the organic mixture; and separating the unreacted epihalohydrin from the liquid epoxy resin.

  • Patent number: 7651328
Abstract: An apparatus for the artificial ageing of blocks, in particular concrete blocks, clinker bricks and natural stone blocks, has a base on which the blocks can be placed in such a way that their surfaces to be treated and the adjoining edges are exposed. Essentially freely movable striking bodies are used for treating the surfaces and the adjoining edges of the blocks. A vibrating device sets the blocks and the striking bodies in motion relative to one another in such a way that the striking bodies act on the surfaces and the exposed edges of the blocks. In this case, the striking bodies are movably fastened to a retaining device in such a way that the striking bodies are freely movable within a defined region of the surface of the blocks.

  • Patent number: 5789670
Abstract: In a moisture sensor (1), the effective sensor field (4) is formed by two sensor elements (8a, 8b,) having interdigitating parallel tracks. These sensor elements consist of layers of a metal nitride compound, especially a chromium-nitrogen compound, deposited by means of magnetron cathode sputtering or glow discharge onto a dielectric substrate (2), the metal nitride layers being deposited onto the substrate surface which has first been cleaned by ion sputtering. These sensor element layers (8a, 8b) have a high hardness of about 2,000 on the Vickers scale, as a result of which the sensor elements (8a, 8b) are highly resistant to abrasive wear such as that caused by windshield wipers or scratching from ice. The moisture sensor can be produced with a low electrical surface resistivity of <100 ohms.quadrature. and is chemically stable with respect to environmental effects such as salt water and/or windshield cleaning fluids.

  • Patent number: 5685886
Abstract: An apparatus for scrubbing or washing a gas having a chamber, which is partially filled with a washing liquid, and into which the gas to be washed flows and the washing liquid is sprayed by a rotatable device for pumping liquid from the chamber and spraying the liquid into the chamber. The apparatus has a compact construction and requires only a small surface on which to stand, but nevertheless provides for low pressure losses. The chamber is composed of first and second chamber parts which are arranged next to one another and are separated by a partition arranged between them so as to project from above at least partially into the washing liquid in the chamber, the two chamber parts being connected with one another in a deflection area above the liquid.
