  • Patent number: 10000823
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing partially-hardened components from steel sheets, in which a component that is cold-formed from a hardenable steel sheet material is heated, in a furnace, to a temperature below the austenitization temperature (<AC3), and a radiating element acts upon the component in sections where said component is to be austenitized (<AC3), this radiating element having a component-side contour that corresponds to the contour of the component in the section to be austenitized. The invention also relates to a device for carrying out said method.

  • Publication number: 20160075449
Abstract: An airport baggage handling system includes a sorting conveyor system transporting baggage pieces to sorting targets on conveyor routes with switch points, being settable in conveying directions and having a superordinate control system and control units for switch points. A departure processing system registers a baggage piece, accepts baggage piece attributes and provides identification data of the baggage piece. A baggage notification system forms a baggage piece notification from the identification data and attributes and transmits it to the control system. The control system produces a notification list from notifications and a sorting plan with identification data-sorting target assignments and determines route tables with sorting target-conveying direction assignments for switch points.

  • Publication number: 20100076796
Abstract: A baggage issuing facility for issuing baggage items to passengers is provided in this case. The baggage issuing facility is e.g. a baggage conveyor belt at an airport. There, provision is made for a locating facility which locates baggage items with reference to a tag that is attached thereto, and passengers with reference to at least one of the identification features assigned to the passenger concerned. The locating facility controls the baggage issuing facility in order to deliver the located baggage item to the associated located passenger. The baggage issuing system offers greater convenience for passengers, since it avoids long waiting times and crowds of people at a baggage conveyor belt. Moreover, it is also possible to make the baggage issue more flexible. In particular, the baggage issuing system is suitable for baggage issue at destination airports and for baggage storage at railway stations.

  • Publication number: 20090125656
Abstract: A field bus system (16), especially a LIN bus system, has a master (14) and at least one bus subscriber (15). In order to carry out an automatic configuration of the bus system, the master (14) stores the current configuration of the field bus system (16) as the known configuration, and carries out the following steps after restarting the bus system: a standard address is allocated as a subscriber address to the at least one bus subscriber (15); it is checked whether the at least one bus subscriber (15) belongs to the known configuration and, if this is the case, a unique subscriber address is allocated thereto (15); it is then checked whether the at least one bus subscriber (15) still has the standard address and, if this is the case, the at least one bus subscriber is identified and a unique subscriber address is allocated thereto.

  • Publication number: 20050065642
Abstract: A transport system, in particular an airport luggage transport system and a controller for the transport system are described. The transport system transports items to a predetermined destination on predefined transport routes via several branching locations. A master controller sets for each transported item a destination and a transport route, which are processed by one or more slave controllers. Each transported item is given an identification number that is identified by the slave controller. The master controller provides to the slave controller the destination associated with each identification number and associates with each destination at the branching locations a forwarding direction. Forwarding is processed by the slave controller without an interrogation of the master controller, based on the preset association at the branching locations.

  • Patent number: 5929499
Abstract: In a photodiode array suitable for use in an x-ray detector for computed tomography, the influences of direct conversion of x-rays into contributions to the electrical output signal and optical cross-talk between channels in the photodiode array are significantly reduced by integrating a number of extraction diodes into the photodiode array, with one extraction diode disposed between each two neighboring photodiodes. The anodes of all of the extraction diodes are connected together at a common anode contact, the common anode contact being connected to a voltage source which applies a voltage across all of the extraction diodes for operating the extraction diodes reverse biased, i.e. so as to block current flow.

  • Patent number: 5661293
Abstract: A solid-state radiation detector, including a photodiode array, is suitable for use in computed tomography, with the dark current of the photodiodes being compensated. The compensation is accomplished by an adjustable voltage source connected to the photodiode, the voltage of the adjustable voltage source being set by a regulator so that the dark current becomes zero. The regulator receives a signal corresponding to the dark current from a measured value transducer in the form of a current-driven voltage source. The voltage supplied by the adjustable voltage source to the photodiode is maintained constant while x-rays are incident on the overall detector which cause illumination of the photodiode.
