    Abstract: A system for cleaning the bottom of a filled mold in a fixed surface molding process including providing a cleaning spatula in sliding contact with the surface of the mold while the mold is stationary and a device for raising the spatula above the mold when the spatula is returned to its intial position. A hopper is provided for receiving material removed by the spatula during the cleaning sweep.
