  • Publication number: 20070013197
Abstract: A part normally retained in a predetermined position is operated by a pyrotechnic actuator having a housing formed unitarily with a pivot, formed unitarily with mounts for securing the housing to a motor vehicle, and forming a chamber extending along an axis. A latch element is mounted on the pivot and movable thereon between a holding position retaining the part in the predetermined position and a releasing position allowing the part to move out of the predetermined position. A piston having a stem engageable with the latch element is movable axially in the chamber between an inner position with the latch element in the holding position and an outer position with the latch element in the releasing position. A pyrotechnic charge in the chamber is detonatable to shift the piston into the outer position and thereby shift the latch element into the releasing position.

  • Patent number: 6851372
Abstract: A pyrotechnical actuator has a cylindrical housing surrounding a hollow chamber and a piston movably supported in the cylindrical housing. A piston rod is connected to the piston. A detonator is arranged within the hollow chamber and configured to produce a quantity of gas for moving the piston from an initial position in the cylindrical housing into an end position. The piston rod triggers an action when the piston moves into the end position or is positioned in the end position. The cylindrical housing is divided in a longitudinal direction of the cylindrical housing into housing parts. At least one holding element secures the housing parts relative to one another.

  • Patent number: 4968104
Abstract: A caterpillar track comprising chain links hinged to one another by bolts, each bolt traversing boreholes of adjacent chain links and being directly supported in the borehole of one chain link while being supported in the other chain link by resilient annular elements made of polymeric material cross-linked with the bolt and frictionally engaging the borehole walls, the improvement comprising supporting the bolt (1) in the boreholes (4) of the other chain link (2) also by at least one rolling bearing (9,16) arranged between adjacent resilient annular elements (5,6).

  • Patent number: 4524671
Abstract: A rolling bearing arrangement for guidance of a gun barrel during longitudinal displacement comprising a gun barrel having at least three circumferential axis-parallel strips projecting radially outward, each strip having two bearing surfaces parallel to each other and to a radial plane, which in turn are associated with directly opposite bearing surfaces extending parallel thereto in a housing surrounding the gun barrel, and a flat cage containing a set of cylindrical rollers arranged between the directly opposite bearing surfaces, the two sets of rollers cooperating with a common strip being under tension by the arrangement, displaceable in a parallel manner, by at least one element carrying a bearing surface.
