  • Patent number: 7995542
Abstract: To improve the operating convenience—e.g. versatile, universal application and use—and location-independence (mobility) of the telecommunication of useful data, particularly packet data and/or voice data, using communication devices, a data adapter (DA1, DA2) is allocated both a fixed-part-specific air interface architecture (DÜM, STM, PKM2) for implementing the prescribed air interface protocol, and the air interface architectures associated with the data adapter (DA1, DA2) are activated according to the application instance, i.e., which scenario is to be produced for the telecommunication of useful data and, in particular, which communication device (KE1, KE2) is connected to the data adapter (DA1, DA2).

  • Patent number: 7627313
Abstract: In order to achieve simple, user-friendly “smart home” scenarios in a telecommunications system in the context of the transmission of textual, audio, video and/or control data between a data source and a data sink, a mobile element of the telecommunications system generates control commands and transmits the latter in a target manner in message traffic between the units that form part of the wireless communication or telecommunication process via the air interface. The mobile element is preferably configured as a cordless telephone handset or a mobile telephone. Textual, audio, video and/or control data that has been stored in the data source is detected, issued, released or externally transferred to a data sink or issued to a data source with the aid of the control commands.

  • Patent number: 6865606
Abstract: A method for controlling data transmission in a cordless V.24 data transmission system operated between a data terminal and data communication equipment. The method controls data communication equipment for the purpose of data communication with a first data transmission device connected to the data terminal equipment via a V.24 cable and with a second data transmission device connected to the data communication equipment via a V.24 cable. The first and second data transmission devices can be connected via an air interface by wireless telecommunication. Activating, reactivating and deactivating of an auto-bauding function is reliably performed in such a manner that there is no risk that user data transmission is corrupted until it is deactivated. A state machine contained in the first data transmission device tracks the states of the data communication equipment and acts on the state of the auto-bauding function in the first data transmission device.

  • Patent number: 6823396
Abstract: A method for controlling data transmission in a wireless V.24 data transmission system operating between a data terminal and a data transmission device. The data transmission system has a first data transmission apparatus connected to a data terminal by means of a V.24 cable and a second data transmission apparatus also connected to a data transmission device by means of a V.24 cable. An air interface may be used for wireless telecommunications in order to control transmission of control commands or control information for the data transmission device from the data terminal to the data transmission device. Recognizability of control commands or control information for the data transmission device is ensured, once a time-critical control command is made known in the data transmission apparatuses.

  • Patent number: 6618595
Abstract: In a wireless telecommunication system, for example a DECT/GAP system, under the control jurisdiction of a first telecommunication apparatus of the telecommunication system control mechanisms (i.e. messages, information elements and procedures) of a standard protocol (e.g. a protocol according to the DECT/GAP standard) are activated for the execution of a special protocol, which serve for the exchange of additional items of information between the first telecommunication apparatus and a second telecommunication apparatus of the telecommunication system.

  • Patent number: 6574315
Abstract: In a wireless V.24 data transmission system operating between a data terminal and a data transmission device for data telecommunication having a first data transmission apparatus connected to the data terminal by means of a V.24 cable and a second data transmission apparatus connected to the data terminal by means of a V.24 cable, the apparatus may in turn be connected for wireless communication by means of an air interface. In order to control data transmission in such a way that baud rate changes can be easily detected, the baud rate is detected by the first data transmission apparatus while the autobauding function is activated in the first data transmission apparatus and in the data transmission device. The baud rate is transmitted by signaling to the second data transmission apparatus and is regulated therein parallel to the command data (AT commands) to be sent.

  • Publication number: 20030096615
Abstract: The invention relates to a base station to which especially more mobile components are allocated than the number of radio channels provided. The base station signals an incoming connection request to the mobile components in such a way that said station establishes a bidirectional connection to one of the mobile components after the connection request has been received, whereby the base station thus signals the incoming connection request and subsequently suppresses said request. This is sequentially repeated by means of at least one component of the mobile components. In addition, the base station can simultaneously establish a unidirectional connection to all mobile components and signal the incoming connection request immediately after the connection request has been received.

  • Patent number: 6388996
Abstract: In order that a mobile part having a slow channel changing function can be synchronized in a manner which is economic in terms of frequencies and, at the same time, to at least two base stations having a fast channel changing function in a cellular TDMA/FDMA radio system, in particular in a cellular DECT/GAP system, the base station transmits broadcast information to the mobile part.
