  • Patent number: 9719597
Abstract: A radial shaft sealing ring for the sealing separation of an internal space (6), from an external space (5), with a sealing lip (2) delimited by a first and a second annular surface (3, 4) of a cone frustum, wherein, the first annular surface (3) is oriented towards the external space (5), and the second annular surface (4) is oriented towards the internal space (6), wherein the annular surfaces (3, 4) are connected to each other via a ring-shaped contact surface (23) of the sealing lip (2), which rests on the shaft (7), wherein the first annular surface (3) forms with the shaft (7) a first angle (??) of 23-40° in the installed position, wherein an inner diameter (24) of the ring-shaped contact surface (23) is 1-15 mm in the installed position.

  • Patent number: 5895052
Abstract: A device for sealing the annular gap between a housing and a shaft supported in the housing. The device comprises an inner ring, an outer ring, and an elastomeric sealing member joined to the outer ring. The sealing member has three sealing lips, of which only the first abuts, under prestressing, against the inner ring. The two other sealing lips are configured in such a way that, between their outer ends and the sections of the inner ring lying opposite to their outer ends, gaps are formed which act as a contact-free sealing. In addition, a gap may be provided between a radially extending annular disk portion of the sealing member and an outer flanged section of the inner ring axially opposite the annular disk portion. That gap and the gaps at the ends of the second and third sealing lips form a labyrinth seal.

  • Patent number: 5645283
Abstract: A radial shaft seal comprises a gasket and an anti-dust lip made of polymer and resting axially separated against the shaft with concentric sealing edges around it. The anti-dust lip has at least two sealing edges separated by a gap. Each edge is interrupted by at least one groove that opens toward the shaft at points distributed around the seal circumference.

  • Patent number: 4432557
Abstract: A cassette seal comprising an inner ring and an outer ring has angle or L-shaped profiles which are arranged together inside each other to form a substantially rectangularly bounded hollow space. The inner ring has a rubber coating (6) for support and sealing on an axle or shaft. The leg of one ring which extends in the radial direction and is facing away from the sealed-off medium has a sealing lip formed from an elastomer material which extends into the hollow space and rests against the leg of the other ring extending in the axial direction. The sealing lip is followed by at least one dust lip spaced at an axial distance away from the sealed-off medium. The leg of the other ring which is facing the sealed-off medium and which extends in the radial direction is sealed against the leg of the one ring extending in the axial direction by a labyrinth gap (12). The contact surface assigned to the dust lip changes into the contact surface assigned to the sealing lip without enlargement of the diameter.
