Abstract: In order to produce a tank for accommodating a fluid used for the surface treatment of work pieces, especially vehicle bodies, wherein the fluid accommodated in the tank can be kept free of dirt particles with little outlay, it is proposed that the tank comprise dirt collecting compartments which are arranged in the base region of the tank.

Abstract: An arrangement for separating paint residuals and solvents from the exhaust air of a paint spray chamber comprises a device for blowing a stream of supply air through the spray chamber to take along exhaust air containing paint and solvent particles, a filtering conveyor located below the chamber for intercepting from the exhaust air paint particles and discharging continuously the same, and a second conveyor arranged below the filtering conveyor and adapted for receiving and discharging a layer of adsorptive material that intercepts solvent particles remaining in the filtered exhaust air.

Abstract: A method of drying surface treated objects having a protective layer deposited thereupon. The drying is performed in a closed drying space by a heated gaseous medium. The heat content of the effluent gaseous medium discharged from the closed space is utilized for further drying either directly by its introduction into the drying space or indirectly by contacting it with a fresh gaseous medium to cause heat exchange therewith and then introducing into the drying space the thus heated fresh gaseous medium. Prior to utilization of the heat content of the effluent discharged gaseous medium, the same may be purified and a portion thereof may be released into the atmosphere.A device performing this method.
