  • Patent number: 4855764
Abstract: An ink printing head of an ink printing means has a cover element and a stripper element allocated to it. The cover element and the stripper element are seated in front of the ink printing head in displaceable fashion such that, in a first operating condition, only the cover element covers the ink discharge openings in a distance forming a gap, whereby the gap is then filled with writing fluid via the ink discharge openings. In a second operating condition, the stripper element wipes across the ink discharge opening and thereby eliminates the ink in the gap. Cover element and stripper element are connected to one another and are actuated by an electromotive means.

  • Patent number: 4688692
Abstract: Apparatus for joining sheet metal elements of a housing for an electrical appliance has a centering lug, disposed on a first sheet metal element, with a wedgeshaped recess formed therein. Furthermore, disposed on a second sheet metal element is a centering hole to seat the centering lug, the latter penetrating the centering hole, but limited by a stop, until the top surface of the second sheet metal element with the centering hole and a bevel of the wedgeshaped recess form a wedgeshaped seating hole with a self-locking aperture angle for seating a spring wire elastically engaging the seating hole.

  • Patent number: 4502805
Abstract: A deposit container for printers for the deposition of sheet-like data carriers which are delivered by means of a platen is pivotably disposed above the platen to permit selective sheet stacking in upwards or downwards sequence. A pair of transport rollers are arranged adjacent the accepting end opening of the deposit container to be spread apart during sheet introduction into the container and to be moved together to form a drive nip for the sheet after it has passed through the printing zone and lift it into the deposit container. Pivotal flap valves are mounted on the container walls, which are adjusted in dependence upon the pivot position of the deposit container to assist the deposition of the individual sheets.

  • Patent number: 4430594
Abstract: A contacting device for electrically connecting rows of tubular piezo transducers of a printing head of an ink printing device consisting of a printed circuit board having separate conductor paths, a row of feedthrough holes for each row of transducer elements with one hole for each element, a first contact element having an inside contact sleeve biased against the inside wall of the transducer element and a flexible spacer extending therefrom and through an opening in the board adjacent the feedthrough hole, a second contacting element having a resilient connector supporting a resilient clamp for embracing the outer surface of the element being mounted in another hole adjacent the feedthrough opening with both the elastic spacer and the resilient connector being soldered to the conductor paths so that the element is positioned above the feedthrough hole and an electrical current can be applied to the transducer.

  • Patent number: 4005264
Abstract: An arrangement for scanning a disc-shaped type carrier in a code controlled printing device has a stepping motor which is controllable in the forward and backward directions for setting the type carrier. The count of a ring counter contained in the stepping motor control, and which is set in accordance with the setting of the stepping motor, is compared, as a binary combination, in a comparator device with a binary combination assigned to a specific character, and in the event of parity of the two binary combinations, an output pulse is emitted. A scanning sector is arranged on the type carrier and extends over a plurality of characters including the specific character, preferably centrally located along the scanning sector. A scanning device produces a scanning pulse in response to rotation of the sector to or past the scanning device and the scanning pulse is conjunctively linked with the output pulse of the comparator for utilization in system synchronization.
