  • Patent number: 8908650
Abstract: An interface, apparatus, and method are described for communication between a radio control (REC) node and first and second radio equipment (RE) nodes in a radio base station that transceives information over radio interface using multiple antenna carriers. The REC node is separate from and coupled to the first RE node by a first transmission link, and the second RE node coupled to the first RE by a second transmission link. Both control information and user information intended for communication between the REC node and the first RE node and the REC and the second RE node are conveyed over the first transmission link. The first RE node also conveys information between the REC and second RE node. Many advantageous features are described.

  • Patent number: 5926621
Abstract: In the case of processor or installations, or both, which are monitored by sequence control from a PLC program which is produced as a contact plan (KOP), as a function plan (FUP) or as an instruction list (AWL), the AWL code of the PLC program is analyzed by machine and is prepared in the form of a knowledge base, according to the invention, in order to prepare for diagnosis. Step chain analysis and/or a transition analysis are/is carried out in order to prepare the knowledge base.

  • Patent number: 5261330
Abstract: A drop-frame urban rapid transit car includes passenger cells and travelling mechanism parts having a running gear, which are connected to one another at end surfaces by joint parts. The travelling mechanism parts disposed at ends of the car receive an engineer's cab. The object of the invention was to develop the drop-frame urban rapid transit car in a way which ensured the best possible utilization of the enveloping space and the best possible utilization of the available base area, a concept which makes it possible to construct a vehicle meeting the requirements of a modern urban rapid transit car, and at the same time with the most advantageous utilization of the necessary production devices, a minimum of different structural parts and a simple assembly.

  • Patent number: 4955293
Abstract: The invention relates to a slider (1) for track vehicles which allows for horizontal relative movements in the longitudinal as well as in the latitudinal direction between the superstructure, such as a freight car body or another vehicle body, and the running gear or between running gear parts. The invention has the task of retaining the effect of the friction in a slider of the described kind in one horizontal direction while eliminating it in the other direction. This problem is solved by mounting the slider on coupling elements, which allow for a nearly unrestricted sliding of the slider within a certain range in one of the two horizontal directions (longitudinally or latitudinally) and which fix the slider rigidly in the other one of the two horizontal directions.

  • Patent number: 4569293
Abstract: A freight car is constructed with an undercarriage having a flat cargo floor and with an upright fixed end wall at each end of the floor. A gantry in the form of an arch extends upwardly from the floor substantially centrally between the end walls and a hood support rail extends between the fixed end walls on each side of the floor. The space above the floor is covered by a hood which is of a length to extend between the gantry and one end wall and which includes a roof portion which overlies the gantry and the one end wall and side wall portions which extend downwardly from each side of the roof. The side wall portions carry rollers or casters which are engageable with the rail for supporting the hood for movement along the rail. The hood may be moved when it is in an open position along the rail for example to completely uncover the space between the gantry and one end wall.

  • Patent number: 4278030
Abstract: A truck for high speed rail cars, comprises an H-shape truck frame which included bearings for supporting each end of the axles of each wheel set from longitudinally extending leaf springs which are supported in brackets depending from the frame. In addition, air springs are supported on spring troughs which are supported by connecting rods that are pivotally connected between the frame and the troughs. The air springs on the troughs support a cradle which includes spaced upper and lower beam portions or chord members having one or more spaces enclosed therebetween which form auxiliary air spaces providing an additional air chamber for the air springs which are between the troughs and the upper chord member of the cradle.

  • Patent number: 4206571
Abstract: A bunker closure door mechanism for a bunker housing which has an opening with a seat around the opening which is closed by a closure door body, comprises, first and second spaced apart end levers which are pivotally connected between the housing and one end of the door. In addition, central levers are pivotally connected to the door body intermediate its length and pivotally connected at their opposite ends to a toggle lever which is pivotally mounted on the housing. The door body carries guide pins which are engageable in vertical slots of guide members supported on the bunker housing. By means of an actuator in the form of a fluid-pressure operated piston and cylinder connection, a guide rod is actuated to engage the central lever intermediate its length and to pivot it about its connection to the toggle lever and to also shift the toggle lever over its dead center position.

  • Patent number: 4029292
Abstract: The valve construction comprises a valve housing which has a housing flow passage therethrough and an intermediate spherical valve chamber in the passage. A pivot member which has concentric end journal portions is rotatably mounted in the housing and has an intermediate eccentric portion which is offset from the end journal portions and is located in the valve chamber. A spherically shaped globe valve member having a valve flow passage therethrough opening at respectively diametrically opposite ends of the valve member is rotatably supported on the eccentric portion which extends through diametrically opposite walls of the globe valve member which has an axis at right angles to the axis of the valve flow path. A dog carried on the globe valve member projects outwardly therefrom into a groove of the housing and limits the movement of the globe valve member relative to the pivot to 90.degree.. The valve is opened by pivoting the pivot member to cause a pin which is carried on the globe member to ride in a 90.

  • Patent number: 3999489
Abstract: The sliding wall includes a central wall section and two end wall sections, with the sections being co-planar in the closed state and movable, transversely of the car, out of the closing plane and into a shifting plane in which they are displaceable longitudinally of the car past closed wall sections. During shifting, the sliding wall sections are supported by rollers engageable with a rail, provided in an upper longitudinal stringer, and with the outer lateral surface of an outer lower longitudinal supporting beam, the stringer and the supporting beam forming, in cooperation with two corner posts, a side frame of the freight car. The upper rail is a single rectilinear and uninterrupted rail extending substantially the full length of the upper stringer. Each end section has, in the upper portion of its end adjacent the central section, an outwardly opening pocket having a horizontal catch member extending thereacross.
