Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the presentation of information concerning variations of the arterial filling with blood (perfusion) of organs of living beings on the user surface (10) of a display screen, in which method the data required for the presentation (perfusion index) is derived, using an algorithm, from measuring values of a non-invasive photometric measuring process for determining the arterial oxygen saturation of the blood. The invention is characterized in that a first perfusion index is defined as a reference value and the subsequent perfusion indices are determined as relative deviations with respect to the reference value, said relative deviations being presented in the form of analog, graphic elements (42, 44) on the user surface (10) as information concerning the 10 variations of the perfusion.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of communicating with a medical device (10), in which an interface (12) is provided to which either measurement means (14) or an external device (16) can be connected and via which measured signals or data are transmitted from the measurement means (14) or the external device (16) to the medical device (10). By virtue of the invention, only one interface is required to use the medical device both in the measurement mode and in the communication mode, in which, for example, a software update can be performed in the medical device via the interface.

Abstract: A rigid, multipurpose, polyhedric structure which may be folded away on its own base has a base, a roof, vertical lateral surfaces (3), (4) and (5) provided with grooved fold lines extending along the diagonal of each lateral surface, and a side surface free on at least three sides, connected together by a continuous flexible layer. The base and the roof may be provided with fold lines or grooves extending along a diagonal of each. The surfaces can be made either from a multilayer material consisting of a continuous, flexible layer and rigid parts fixed to said layer or from plastic material and can be partially open and bordered.
