  • Patent number: 5312195
Abstract: An electromagnetic driving device for driving a print needle of a printer employing an E-shaped magnetic yoke. In order to improve print speed, the armature and arms of the yoke are specifically dimensioned. The precise lengths and widths of the armature and yoke provide an inductive circuit that minimizes both magnetic losses and inductance.

  • Patent number: 4542949
Abstract: Apparatus for the plug-in assembling of a circuit provided with contact feet, especially an integrated circuit carrier onto an appliance provided with receptacles, or the like. The circuit carrier is inserted in a protective cover and together with this is placed on a base previously mounted in the receptacles of the appliance. Thereby the contact feed come into connection with the circuit of the appliance by way of contact elements arranged on the base. In order to fulfill certain requirements for a reliable large-area or multiple contact by the contact element, it is provided that the circuit carrier is placed on an intermediate contact carrier which carries a plurality of contact plates connected with the contact feet of the circuit carrier respectively by means of soldered junctions, which plates in turn show the desired contact properties.

  • Patent number: 4521961
Abstract: Process for producing a multipolar multipoint connector (terminal strip) with a plurality of contact prongs arranged one beside another on a plastic carrier or the like. For this all of the contact prongs still joined together by webs are assembled on the carrier in one operating step and only then are cut apart (or separated) from one another. An improved carrier as well as a better assembling (or mounting) ensure a form-locking joining of the contact prongs with the carrier. Besides this, a process for providing the new multipoint connector is supplied.

  • Patent number: 4334732
Abstract: A multi-circuit connector (5) to receive edge contacts of plug-in modules (4) and make electrical contacts with a printed board (2). The connector (5) comprises means (20) to achieve a floating mount in a support (11) having lateral spring tabs (19) and contact clips (6) which project forwardly in parallel rows to make circuit with the board (2). The clips (6) are bent (24) to improve resilience along their own axis to reduce stress on the board (2) when a male module (4) is inserted. Two or more embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4170348
Abstract: A device for the reading of identification cards and the like including a feed slot which directs the longitudinal edges of the card into spaced guide grooves which serve to straighten and properly align the card and into a conveyor which carries the card past a reading or checking device.
