Abstract: The invention concerns the use of 2-amino-2H-quinazoline derivatives of general chemical formula (I), wherein R1 indicates an alkyl group with 1-5 carbon atoms and R2, R3, R4 and R5, independently of one another, each indicate a chlorine or hydrogen atom, as well as their pharmaceutically compatible salts, for producing therapeutic agents for the treatment of myeloproliferative diseases, high blood pressure and for bronchodilation.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the preparation of endo-nortropine using 8-benzyl-nortropan-3-one perchlorate, as well as the latter product. Endo-nortropine is the key product for the production of important azonia-spironortropanol esters, which are used as pharmaceuticals, particularly spasmolytics. There are three different synthesis methods for the preparation of said intermediate, which lead to different disadvantages. These problems are obviated by the present invention through the two-stage treatment of 8-benzyl-nortropan-3-one perchlorate with catalytically activated hydrogen, the starting product initially being prehydrogenated in aqueous suspension and at atmospheric pressure and ambient pressure with a palladium catalyst, at the end of the reaction the catalyst is recovered by filtration, the filtrate is passed over an anion exchanger and the now alkaline reacting solution is rendered turbulent at 1000 to 1500 r.p.m.

Abstract: A process for the production of endotropine by catalytically reducing tropanone with hydrogen with Raney nickel or Raney copper. This process is conducted with tropanone in an aqueous solution absent of organic solvents, in a closed system, at atmospheric pressure and ambient temperature and subject to turbulent action at 1000 to 1500 r.p.m. The process leads to average yields of 94%. The process improves on prior art processes which use an overpressure and organic solvents which involve a high fire and explosion risk.

Abstract: The 2-[2'-hydroxy-3'-(1,1-dimethylpropylamino)-propoxy]-.beta.-phenylpropiophe none of formula I ##STR1## and its acid addition salts are described. Moreover, the preparation of this compound and of its acid addition salts is described. The compound and its acid addition salts have an antiarrhthymic effect. They can therefore be used for treating heart rhythm disorders.
