  • Patent number: 11281518
Abstract: A method for predicting a location of a fault in a system is described. The method includes obtaining a faulty unit pertaining to a Supervised Self-Organizing Map (SSOM), wherein the faulty unit has been derived from a sample of machine-level metrics for the system and the SSOM has been trained with a first layer of machine-level metrics and a second layer of service-level metrics. The method further includes expanding a circle originating at the faulty unit until a number of normal units of the SSOM falls within the circle, computing, for each machine-level metric, a score based on differences between the faulty and normal units, wherein a set of scores comprises the respective score for each machine-level metric, and selecting a sub-set of the set, wherein the sub-set comprises the greatest scores of the set, whereby the fault is predicted as located according to metrics represented by the sub-set.

  • Publication number: 20210209481
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating a data driven target model associated with a service having a first configuration. The method including: determining if there is an existing data driven source model for the service having a second configuration which is different from the first configuration; wherein if there is an existing data driven source model, determining whether a level of differences between the first configuration and the second configuration enables the existing data driven source model to be used as a source model for the data driven target model being generated; wherein if there is no existing data driven source model or if the level of differences for the existing data driven source model does not enable the existing data driven source model for the first configuration to be used, then requesting a source domain.

  • Patent number: 8781459
Abstract: A method of discovering overlapping cells in a telecommunications network comprising a plurality of base stations, wherein steps carried out by an individual base station comprise determining sets of terminals in ranges of its associated cells and sending a message with information about said sets of terminals to other base stations. The method also includes receiving messages from said other base stations with information about sets of terminals in ranges of their associated cells. The individual base station calculates intersection of its own set of terminals with those received from said other base stations and classifies cells as overlapping if the corresponding intersection is equal or above a predefined level.

  • Publication number: 20040090015
Abstract: A sealing ring, including a supporting ring made of resin which is joined to a lip ring of elastomeric material. Also a method for manufacturing a sealing ring, that includes introducing a resin into a first cavity of a tool and subsequently hardening the resin so as to fabricate a supporting ring, introducing an elastomeric material into a second cavity of the tool and extruding the elastomeric material onto the supporting ring so as to fabricate a lip ring, hardening the elastomeric material so as to bond the lip ring to the supporting ring thereby forming the sealing ring, and removing the sealing ring from the tool.

  • Patent number: 6520506
Abstract: A radial shaft seal, which includes a ring-shaped, metal supporting body and a sealing lip disposed thereon, in order to separate a hydraulic side that is particularly under high pressure, from an atmospheric side, the sealing lip being pressed onto the shaft by an annular helical spring. In an uninstalled sealing ring, the working plane of the annular helical spring has a value x that is less than zero with respect to the working plane of the sealing edge, and in an installed sealing ring, the two working planes are approximately coplanar.

  • Patent number: 6039322
Abstract: A sealing arrangement in which a rotary shaft lip seal is arranged in a housing bore hole under radial prestressing. The lip seal has a sealing lip sealingly surrounding a shaft to be sealed. The sealing lip is arranged on a first, radially inwardly pointing leg of a thrust ring made of tough material. An axially extending second leg of the thrust ring is provided with a coating of elastomer contiguous with the sealing lip on its radial exterior that is also under radial prestress when positioned against the wall delimiting the housing bore hole. A roller bearing is arranged in the radial direction between the second leg and the shaft, and the sealing lip is arranged in the axial direction on the side of the roller bearing and the first leg facing the space to be sealed.

  • Patent number: 5889226
Abstract: A locking assembly in a launcher for missiles comprises a pivotally mounted blocking latch which is provided with two blocking lugs for extending over a shoe provided on the missile. The blocking latch is biased by a spring toward a blocking position, in which the shoe of the missile is retained by the blocking lugs. A locking lug is provided on the blocking latch. In the blocking position the locking lug engages a safety lever having a contact surface, when inertial forces of the missile act on the blocking latch such that the blocking latch is retained in the blocking position, in which the blocking lugs extend over the shoe of the missile. The safety lever is pivotable about a pivot axis out of the pivotal path of the locking lug. The safety lever comprises means for reducing the distance between the contact surface and the pivot axis during the pivotal movement of the safety lever, such that the contact surface is removed from the locking lug during the pivotal movement.

  • Patent number: 5533433
Abstract: A locking unit for a missile launching device comprises a pivoting pawl. The pawl has two locking lugs to clamp a shoe on the missile. The pawl is preloaded by a spring towards a locking position in which the shoe of the missile is held by the lugs. A locking lug on the pawl co-operates with a safety pawl against which the locking lug bears in the locked position. The pawl is thus held in the locked position in which the shoe is gripped by the lugs. A safety pin can be fitted through a housing of the locking unit with the pawl in the locked position. This provides a check whether the system has been properly fitted and the pawl is in the correct position. To prevent errors during this check, there is a connecting link on the pawl projecting into the path of the safety pin if the pawl is not in its proper locking position.
