Patent number: 6397844Abstract: A portable apparatus for ventilation support to persons with respiratory distress is provided with a compressed air pump. The pump may be connected to the mouth or the nose via a tube for generation of pressure pulses with an individually adaptable air volume. The pump comprises a rigid container having two symmetrical halves and with a flexible membrane which is located as a laterally reciprocating diaphragm between the two container halves. These are provided with check valves permitting ambient air to be fed into the pump and from the pump into the tube while the membrane wall is moved, for generation of a pressure pulse. The pump is provided with a flexible pull device for reciprocating operation of the membrane in the container. The pull device extends via pulley wheels to a driving device located substantially in the same plane as the container and beside it.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 2000Date of Patent: June 4, 2002Assignee: Barnwell Investments S.A.Inventors: Björn Wennerholm, Rolf Svensson

Patent number: 6352571Abstract: One or more metal salts of at least one iron group metal containing organic groups are dissolved in at least one polar solvent and complex bound with at least one complex former comprising functional groups in the form of OH or NR3, (R═H or alkyl). In addition, at least one insoluble, reducible salt of at least one iron group metal is suspended in the solution. Hard constituent powder and, optionally, a soluble carbon source are added to the solution. The solvent is evaporated and the powder mass is heat treated in inert and/or reducing atmosphere. As a result, a powder mixture is obtained which, after addition of a pressing agent, can be compacted and sintered according to standard practice to form a body containing hard constituents in a binder phase.Type: GrantFiled: December 4, 1998Date of Patent: March 5, 2002Assignee: Sandvik ABInventors: Mats Waldenström, Rolf Svensson

Patent number: 5993730Abstract: One or more organic or inorganic metal salts or compounds of at least one of the groups IV, V and VI of the periodic system, particularly V, Cr, Mo and W, optionally together with one or more organic iron group metal salts, are dissolved in at least one polar solvent and complex bound with at least one complex former comprising functional groups in the form of OH or NR.sub.3, (R=H or alkyl). Hard constituent powder and optionally soluble carbon source are added to the solution. The solvent is evaporated and the remaining powder is heat treated in an inert and/or reducing atmosphere. As a result, coated hard constituent powder is obtained, which after addition of a pressing agent and optionally with other coated hard constituent powders and/or carbon to obtain the desired composition, can be compacted and sintered according to standard practice.Type: GrantFiled: October 13, 1998Date of Patent: November 30, 1999Assignee: Sandvik ABInventors: Mats Waldenstrom, Rolf Svensson

Patent number: 5380408Abstract: The present invention relates to an etching process for the purpose of removing binder phase from the surface of a hard metal consisting of hard material in a binder phase based on cobalt and/or nickel. By carrying out the etching process electrolytically in a mixture containing concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated phosphoric acid at a volume ratio of 0.5-2 with a water content of <50% at a temperature of 25.degree.-60.degree. C. an even binder phase removal without deep penetration is achieved.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 1992Date of Patent: January 10, 1995Assignee: Sandvik ABInventor: Rolf Svensson

Patent number: 5249334Abstract: A hinge for a door or hatch of a motor vehicle has two hinge halves (1, 2), one (1) of which has a pivot pin (6) and the other (2) of which has a bearing portion (9) pivotally mounted on the pivot pin (6). The pivot pin (6) has a spherical end portion (11), onto which the bearing portion (9) fits with a complementary shaped cavity, and a narrower neck portion (12). A lock (18) cooperates with the neck portion (12) of the pivot pin (6) and the bearing portion (9) to lock the hinge halves (1, 2) against relative movement in the axial direction of the pivot pin (6). The bearing portion (9) has a bearing sleeve (13) journalled on the pivot pin (6), including the complementary shaped cavity therein. A bearing housing (15) has an inside surface which fits over an outside surface of the bearing sleeve (13), and a fastener (16) detachably fastens the bearing sleeve (13) to the bearing housing (15).Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 1991Date of Patent: October 5, 1993Assignee: AB VolvoInventors: Arne Horberg, Rolf Svensson

Patent number: 4543880Abstract: A method and device is disclosed for expelling liquid by squeezing of masses, having great liquid content and particularly highly re-absorbing masses, most particularly peat, said method comprising the steps of squeezing the mass between endless filter cloths running in a winding path around a plurality of press rollers acting on said filter cloths only and having progressively decreasing diameter and subjecting the mass to a more and more increasing squeeze pressure. According to the invention the filter cloths run from one press roller directly onto the subsequent roller in order to make the mass between said cloths subject to an uninterruptedly increasing squeeze pressure.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 1983Date of Patent: October 1, 1985Inventor: Rolf Svensson

Patent number: 4355548Abstract: A tool turret according to the invention comprises a turret head which is shiftable between a rotational position and a working position, drive means adapted to rotate the turret head in the rotational position and being in permanent engagement with the turret head, fixation means for locking the turret head in the working position, and a transducer sensing the position of the turret head. The turret head is rotatable with respect to a non-rotary body which is axially displaceable with the turret head and which has a circumferential projection serving as a piston and being mounted axially displaceable in an annular recess serving as a cylinder and formed in a seat, receiving the body, of a member supporting the body. The projection and the annular recess cooperate with each other to ensure axial displacement of the body with the turret head between the rotational position and the working position.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 1980Date of Patent: October 26, 1982Assignee: SMT Machine Company ABInventors: Rolf Svensson, Ingemar Svensson
