  • Patent number: 5832700
Abstract: The lower end 11 of a foil tube 6 rests in a vertical tubular bagging machine 1 without any mechanical tension from the remainder of the foil tube 6 on a scale 17. The scale 17 weighs the end 11 together with dosed product portion of a flowable product, which portion is fed into the end 11. The measured value of the scale is delivered to a volumetric dosing device 20. The dosing device 20 changes the mass of the dosed product portion dependent on measured values of the scale 17. The invention improves the packaging speed and the dosing exactness, in particular for dosed masses of less than 5 kg. of flowable product, for example powders.

  • Patent number: 5791126
Abstract: The welding jaws 7, 8 in a tubular bagging machine 1 for the creation of cross seams are driven by a drive 3 acting perpendicularly with respect to the foil-transporting direction 4 through a movable element 11. The jaw force (sealing force) is clearly increased through a lever 15 rotatable about a pivot point 17, and is precisely adapted to the requirements of a particle bagging operation. A drive with a small force, for example a linear motor 9, can be utilized in an economical manner in the tubular bagging machine of the invention. By providing a second drive, and connecting this drive to the lever (15), any desired motion path curves of the cross jaws and a continuous run sequence of the machine can be achieved. If the second drive stopped, then one has an intermittent tubular bagging machine.

  • Patent number: 5203145
Abstract: The invention relates to a stripper mechanism for a tubular bag packaging machine, in which a foil strip (1) is formed into a tube (3) by means of a longitudinal sealing jaw (2) and is formed into bags by means of cross-sealing jaws (4). A stripper mechanism (5) is arranged in the area of the cross-sealing jaws (4), which stripper mechanism (5) includes two stripper rods (6) supported on the end areas of support arms (7). In order to provide a drive for the stripper mechanism (5), which drive is independent of the drive of the cross-sealing jaws (4), the stripper rods (6) are connected to a common closing mechanism (8), and that furthermore the stripper rods are connected to a moving mechanism (9) for effecting a relative movement along the foil tube (3).

  • Patent number: 5191750
Abstract: An apparatus for the manufacture, filling and closing of bags made of a heat-sealable sheet. Known apparatus use cross-sealing stations in which, caused by the movement of the cross-welding jaws, on the one hand, an adjustment of the welding path is not possible and, on the other hand, the production speed cannot be increased. In order to avoid these disadvantages, the invention provides that the cross-welding jaw is supported on a support which is connected to two parallel guide-bar arrangements, which are pivotal about two parallel axles arranged perpendicularly with respect to the centerline of the tube to define a four-bar mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4674581
Abstract: A distributing container (2) has a base (9), which has openings (11 to 18). Inclined sliding surfaces (20, 19) start out from the edges (13a, 13b) of the openings (11 to 18), which sliding surfaces ease the movement of the loose material toward the openings (11 to 18). The fill level in the distributing container (2) is maintained constant with the help of a power-measuring device (29), from where the feeding of loose material into the distributing container (2) is regulated. Conveyors, for example conveyor troughs (3), are arranged below the openings (11 to 18), which forward the loose material which exists through the openings (11 to 18).An especially constant feeding of the conveyor troughs (3) can be achieved with the help of the distributing container (2).
