  • Patent number: 10406067
Abstract: An apparatus (1) for providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation by applying compressions to a chest of a patient (P). The apparatus (1) comprising a chest compression unit (10), in particular comprising automatic actuation, at least one band (20) to be passed around the patient's chest for maintaining the chest compression unit (10) in position on the patient's chest. At least one end of the band (20) is releasably connectable to the unit (10) or another band. The apparatus (1) is designed for pushing the band (20) underneath the patient's chest, in particular on the side where the patient contacts the ground (G). The apparatus (1) comprises or is connectable to an application aid (30), in functional connection with the band (20), fixable to or movable relative to the band and adapted to support pushing the band (20) underneath the patient's chest. The application aid is stiffer than the band.

  • Patent number: 10392832
Abstract: A device includes a sensor and an actuator. The sensor has a receiving circuit with a sensor and a detector, as well as a computer connected to the detector. The sensor cooperates with the actuator to generate a first receiving circuit signal during a normal operation when a switching distance between the sensor and the actuator is undershot. The detector generates a first output signal as a function of the first receiving circuit signal, and to transmit transmits the first output signal to the computer. The receiving circuit includes a signal emulator and a switch-over element. The signal emulator generates a second receiving circuit signal during a test operation. The detector generates a second output signal as a function of the second receiving circuit signal and transmits the second output signal to the computer. The device can repeatedly switch between normal operation and test operation.

  • Publication number: 20190116105
Abstract: A method for the serial transmission of data from a sensor to a safety control device. The sensor has two data processing units which examine and process both the data of the sensor and the request data of the safety control device. The same request data of the safety control device are simultaneously supplied to each data processing unit and the data processing units simultaneously perform a check of the request data after receiving the data. The data processing units operate independently of each other. A sensor unit has a sensor, a safety control device and data processing units. The safety control device is connected to the data processing units via a common serial bus and the data processing units are independent of one another and simultaneously perform the data processing. A system for securing hazardous areas of production facilities with a sensor unit.

  • Publication number: 20190033444
Abstract: A device for monitoring the local orientation or position of an object by sound waves, with a sensor part positioned at a distance from the object with at least one sound wave emitter, at least one sound wave receiver, and a computing unit. The computing unit controls the at sound wave emitter and the sound wave receiver and determines the distance between the sensor part and the object, based on the echoes of a sound wave emitted by the sound wave emitter in the direction of the object. An identification reflector separate from the sensor part comprises a three-dimensional pattern. The sensor part has an array of sound wave receivers and sound wave emitters, wherein for identifying the identification reflector and for measuring the distance between the sensor part and the identification reflector, a plurality of echoes between different emitter/receiver-combinations is evaluated.

  • Publication number: 20160117896
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for evaluation of signals from a LED status indicator of a device, in particular a safety device, comprising the steps detecting a signal emitted by the LED status indicator by means of a camera of a portable evaluation device, comparing the detected signal with signals stored in a database, wherein a status is associated in each case with the stored signals in the database, displaying information about the status which is associated with the detected signal by means of a display means of the portable evaluation device, wherein the emitted signal in the form as emitted by the LED status indicator is not distinguishable or not unambiguously distinguishable by the human eye from other signals which can be emitted by the LED status indicator.
