  • Patent number: 4575121
Abstract: A module for postal transmission, particularly for confidential information such as bank statements and the like, according to the invention has at least four sections (13, 15, 17, 19; 313, 315, etc.) defined by parallel fold lines (7, 9, 11; 331, 332, etc.) for repeated folding; on one of the external sections (13; 313) of the module, in the fully-folded configuration, a window (F, F1) is provided for the address; the useful face of these sections is surrounded by a perimetrical strip for permanent sealing (23A, 23B, 23C; 623) to assure the inviolability of said face, while on the reverse side of it a non-permanent glueing (25B, 25C; 125B, 125C, etc.) is provided. With respect to the known cross-folding modules, the module of the invention has a larger useful surface available, assures a higher production rate and is more easily handled.

  • Patent number: 4502713
Abstract: A form suitable for electricity, gas, water or telephone bills, bank statements etc., which can be folded and stuck down for postal dispatch, comprises at least two rectangular elongate regions which can be folded one on to the other, and sticking strips for stabilizing the folded state. The rear face of the form, i.e. that opposite the compiled or printed face, is free from partially pre-glued regions in that part of the form on which its front face is to be printed, and which can thus slide on a backing plate. In these regions sticking is carried out by distributing liquid glue when required, or by previously applying a dry thermosetting glue, and then distributing a moistening agent when these regions are to be stuck.

  • Patent number: 4416447
Abstract: In a seat for a pile of booklet components of considerable thickness a conveyor is provided which is able to withdraw the lower component of the pile and bring it into a holding position. The conveyor is driven in synchronism with the transfer of the element from the hold position to a main conveyor which, successively, receives the booklet components. This main conveyor may be driven with reciprocating movements of commutable amplitudes.
