Abstract: An improved sprayhead for group washfountains of the type having several washing stations positioned around a sprayhead located over a single bowl. The washfountain has a hollow sprayhead having an exterior wall which holds not only the nozzles but also a soap reservoir and hand actuated buttons. The valves which supply water to the nozzles are preferably positioned in the pedestal below the bowl of the washfountain.

Abstract: A push button assembly for moving a volume of fluid out of and into a port. The assembly has a housing containing a rubber-domed diaphragm. The domed diaphragm is designed so that it is deformable but readily returns to its original shape. The pressing of the push button depresses the diaphragm, thereby forcing air or other fluid out of the exit port. When the button is released, the diaphragm returns to its original shape pulling fluid back through the port.

Abstract: An improved, delayed closing plumbing valve of the type having a cartridge with hydraulic fluid in a sealed chamber retained between an upper and lower diaphragm positioned about a longitudinally movable valve stem assembly. The chamber has a one-way piston which divides the chamber into an upper and lower section, and there is a restricted fluid flow path between the two sections. A water shut off gasket is at the base of a valve stem and has a removable gasket ring to permit the replacement of the gasket. The valve seat may also be removable for replacement. The lower diaphragm is provided with a sealed chamber to prevent its degradation by particles in the water. The diaphragms at the upper and lower end of the chamber are retained and sealed to the valve stem by retaining rings having a conical upper end which holds the inner part of the diaphragm against the valve stem. The diaphragms preferably permit the turning of the valve stem with respect to the cartridge without damage to the diaphragms.

Abstract: An improved needle valve having a protective cap. The valve is of the type having an adjustable needle valve held in a housing connected to an air line. The needle valve meters air flow into a line and the improved valve has a cap with slits in the side thereof. The cap is oriented so that the slits face downwardly and, thus, any water or debris falling on the valve is conducted away from the air inlet portion of the valve. The valve is mounted so that it may be rotated 360 degrees about its point of mounting.

Abstract: An improved, remote controlled valve and dual push button assembly, having a hand operated push button which, when depressed and released, opens a water valve for a predetermined length of time after which the valve closes. The valve is also connected to a foot operated push button which, when depressed, holds the valve in an open configuration as long as the foot button is depressed. The improved valve and button assembly provides an air flow path through the foot button when the foot button is not depressed. The air flow path utilizes a hole in a diaphragm of the foot button which communicates with an air flow path in the base of the piston which depresses the foot button diaphragm. The disclosure also includes a check valve held in the needle valve which is a part of the timing mechanism of the hand operated button. The check valve prevents the flow of air out through the needle valve and permits air to only flow in through the needle valve.

Abstract: A vandal-resistant and tamper-proof security mirror assembly. The mirror is particularly useful for installation in a prison cell and is not removable from the viewing side thereof but is removable and replaceable from the back of the mounting surface such as from a pipe chase. The mirror assembly is held in a pan which is held behind an opening of the mounting surface.

Abstract: A vandal-resistant push button switch assembly. The switch assembly has a switch actuating device with no exposed fasteners which switch may be used in a prison cell or other area requiring a high degree of vandal resistance. Although the switch may be readily operated from within the cell, it cannot be removed from the cell or destroyed under anything but the most extreme conditions. The switch has a push button actuating shaft which is depressed by the user and this shaft in turn activates a push button electrical switch mounted on the back side of the mounting surface.

Abstract: A vandal resistant security light fixture having a housing and a light which is serviceable and removable from outside the room in which it is installed. The housing has at least one surface which faces into the room and is open at the back to permit servicing or replacement of the light assembly without having to enter the room. The fixture is vandal resistant and is particularly useful in prison cells and may be provided with one or more vandal resistant switches and vandal resistant electrical receptacles.
