  • Publication number: 20240008845
Abstract: Aspects of some embodiments of the invention relate to systems and methods for simulating an ultrasound, comprising a camera, a physical tridimensional reference element attached to an ultrasound transducer of an ultrasound device and a processing module comprising instructions to perform the following while performing an ultrasound examination or after performing the ultrasound examination and spatial location of the documented information: digitally imaging a physical tridimensional reference element, determining from said imaging a second spatial data of said physical tridimensional reference element relative to a virtual location-identifying orientation; displaying said ultrasound data when said second spatial data is the same as said first spatial data and said orientation of a patient is the same as said virtual location-identifying orientation.

  • Patent number: 6858007
Abstract: A method of characterizing an adnexal mass is disclosed, the method is effected by (a) obtaining a cross-sectional or projectional image of an examined adnex including the adnexal mass; (b) extracting boundaries of the adnexal mass; and (c) using a first algorithm for quantifying at least one morphological feature of the adnexal mass, thereby providing quantification of the at least one morphological feature.

  • Patent number: 6112108
Abstract: A method for diagnosing malignancy in a tumor. A waveform representative of pulsatile blood flow in the tumor is measured, and the post-systolic portion of the wave form is fit with a mathematical function such as an exponential decay curve. A decay constant greater than about 48 pixels is diagnostic of malignancy.

  • Patent number: 5833611
Abstract: Apparatus and method for real-time endovaginal sonography guidance of intra-uterine and cervical procedures are provided. The apparatus comprises an assembly, including: (a) an endovaginal ultrasound transducer for insertion into a portion of a patient's vagina; (b) a cervical holder, including: (i) two arms having a securing member; and (ii) two holders, the holders for holding the patient's cervix; and (c) a connector for connecting the ultrasound transducer to the cervical holder, the ultrasound transducer featuring substantially small diameter for allowing a surgeon to perform the procedure. The method comprises: (a) holding a patient's cervix by means of a cervical holder(a) inserting an endovaginal ultrasound transducer into a portion of the patient's vagina, the ultrasound transducer and the cervical holder being inter-connected by means of a connector; (c) performing the procedure; and (d) monitoring the procedure by means of the ultrasound transducer.

  • Patent number: 5609485
Abstract: The medical reproduction system is a computer-based interactive reproduction system device designed to be used by physicians and technicians in medical training and diagnosis using medical systems such as ultrasound machines. Biological data is collected from a living body and stored in memory. An operator manipulates a simulated sensor over a transmitter which may be attached to a simulated body. The transmitter transmits position data to a receiver in the sensor. The reproduction unit processes the preset biological data and displays data corresponding to the position of the sensor with respect to the transmitter.
