  • Patent number: 8886170
Abstract: There is disclosed a system and method for managing service for carrier subscribers and migrating them to service bundles. In an embodiment, the method comprises obtaining a list of existing services to which a subscriber is subscribed; comparing the list of services to available service bundles; and determining if there is an exact match of services between the list of existing services and services included in one or more available service bundles, and if so, migrating the subscriber to the one or more available service bundles with the exact match. A subscriber may be manually migrated if migration is not possible with an exact match or partial match.

  • Patent number: 8859943
Abstract: A method 100 maximizes the contrast between light and dark markings 13 that carry information. The markings are illuminated by a variable output light source 16, and a reflected image is received by a detector 18 and processed by a controller 20. The method calculates a histogram of the reflected image at step 102, and the method determines at step 104 if the histogram has one peak or two peaks. The method increases at step 110 or decreases at step 112 the output of the light source 16 by adding or subtracting a small step amount to or from the current light level of the light source 16. The method 100 is a continuously repeating loop, and the method increases or decreases the light level of the source of illumination with substantially every loop to oscillate about an equilibrium light level that provides maximum contrast.

The method may further comprise identifying a main service in the list of existing services and determining if there is a partial match of services between the main service and a service included in one or more available service bundles, and if so, migrating the subscriber to the one or more available service bundles with the partial match. A subscriber may be manually migrated if migration is not possible with an exact match or partial match.

  • Publication number: 20070248914
Abstract: Method for removing contaminants from a surface during semiconductor fabrication. A preferred embodiment comprises developing a resist layer on a top surface of a semiconductor substrate, curing the developed resist layer, and cleaning the developed resist layer with a developer solution to remove contaminants. The cleaning makes use of the same developer solution used to develop the resist layer, so the cleaning makes use of a process that already exists and requires no additional investment to implement, while the curing stabilizes the developed resist layer so that the cleaning does not damage the developed resist layer.

  • Publication number: 20070242343
Abstract: System and method for maximizing image quality by eliminating vias on a reflective surface. A preferred embodiment comprises depositing a first portion of a mirror surface over a support surface, applying a protective coating on the mirror surface, and then inverting the via. The preferred embodiment also comprises removing a portion of the inverted via and then depositing a second portion of the mirror surface. The remaining portion of the inverted via fills the via and provides a level surface for the depositing of the second portion of the mirror surface, reducing the amount of light scattered by the via.

  • Patent number: 6250320
Abstract: A protective cover assembly which includes a lightweight square or rectangular cover fabricated of a breathable type water resistant fabric or solar screen material, having a metal grommet installed into each corner. The assembly also includes four hollow tubular support poles that each have a top-mounted flange to keep the grommet in position, with each pole further including a pivoting two-sided toggle which would prevent the grommet from slipping off the pole after installation. The assembly also includes four solid steel ground spikes that each have a top-mounted bar with a spring-loaded lock tab and a side-mounted spike drive flange. Each spike driver flange would be used to hammer a spike into the ground and could also serve to aid in removing the spikes with the claw of the hammer. Each of the corner poles would fit snuggly over the top-mounted bar that is located on the top of each spike, and each locking tab would removably connect with a hole in the side of the pole.
