Abstract: A toothbrush head that includes a main body portion and a generally cylindrical connection member extending downwardly and defining an axis. The connection member includes bottom, outer and inner surfaces and a central opening. The connection member also includes a first lower protrusion that includes first and second inclined surfaces extending inwardly from the inner surface, a first slot defined in the bottom surface and the inner surface, a first lower notch defined in the inner surface, and a first opening defined in the inner surface above the first lower protrusion.

Abstract: The invention is a locally mounted light source for light activation of tooth whitening compositions. A support in the form of a bridge attached to a retractor or as part of a mouth guard has integral therewith, a small and lightweight light source, such as could be provided by one or more high-intensity LED's, though other light sources could be used. The light source may be in the form of an array, powered by either a direct electrical connection to a power supply or by battery power, for example, with a battery pack worn by the user. The light source is thus located in proximity to the tooth surfaces regardless of head movement or orientation, increasing user mobility and comfort.

Abstract: A drinking water filter assembly has a filter cartridge which includes a filter element contained in a pressure vessel for unitary disposal, the cartridge received on a base containing attachment fittings for ease in installation and replacement with limited exposure to contaminants during a filter change. A flow powered flow meter is provided which measures the quantity of flow through the filter for alerting the user to replace the filter cartridge.

Abstract: A worm drive hose clip comprises a housing, a band having one end secured to the housing and the other end passed through the housing, and a screw which is effectively journalled in the housing and held axially captive therein. Teeth are formed on one face of the band for engagement with the screw, each of which has a crest which is concave along a central portion of its length extending transversely of the band. The root-to-crest height of the central portion of each tooth increases toward each end of said central portion of the crest.
