  • Patent number: 7886948
Abstract: A hitch carrier device for transporting cargo and particularly, but not exclusively, large game carcasses on a hitch of a road vehicle is described. The carrier device comprises a support structure having a vertical support frame. A hitch connection is provided at a lower end of the vertical support frame. A horizontal harness support frame is secured to an upper end portion of the vertical support frame. A harness of flexible material is detachably secured to the horizontal harness support frame for supporting a cargo to be transported at an elevated position above the hitch behind the road vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20070102856
Abstract: A method of making a curved compression spring comprising the steps of: providing a monolithic preform having first and second end portions with a curved mid-portion therebetween, with the preform being formed from an elastomer which is free of spring-like characteristics, and with the preform having an initial predetermined length defined by a longitudinal distance between first and second end portions, and wherein the elastomer from which the preform is formed has a molecular structure along with a ratio of plastic strain to elastic strain greater than 1.5 to 1; and, working the preform so as to orient the molecular structure of the elastomer in at least one direction while transmuting the preform into a compression spring.

  • Publication number: 20060061026
Abstract: A compression spring created from a preform made from an elastomer which is normally free of spring-like characteristics. The preform has an initial predetermined length defined by a longitudinal distance between first and second end portions joined by a mid-portion. The elastomer from which the preform is created has a molecular structure along with a ratio of plastic strain to elastic strain greater than 1.5 to 1. As a result of working the preform, the molecular structure, extending along at least the mid-portion, is oriented so as to transmute the preform into a curved elastomeric spring. Methods for making the elastomeric spring are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4164017
Abstract: A data processor has provision for error recovery by the division of a program into a set of program blocks. The apparatus has a main store and a cache store that preserves the states that have previously been taken up by items of information prior to commencing each block so that the states of the items of information prevailing at the beginning of a block can be restored if required.
