  • Patent number: 10145553
Abstract: A lighting luminaire is provided for implementing enhanced performance for multiple applications. A lighting fixture includes a housing defining a novel heat management system optionally formed by a unitary member or formed by two generally identical housing sections. The housing includes a predefined profile and features for heat transfer including an upper compartment where heat sensitive components are installed and a lower compartment where lighting modules, such as LED modules, are installed. The housing lower compartment includes an upwardly facing lower lens member and predefined features to minimize or prevent heat from traveling upwardly into the upper housing compartment.

  • Patent number: 8911247
Abstract: An luminary fitting is provided for implementing quickly and easily connecting to an associated device, such as a lighting fixture, gasketed enclosure or wiring box. The luminary fitting includes an enclosure body having a mating face for connection with a selected wiring installation configuration and an opposed face connecting with the associated device. The opposed face includes a threaded wire way extending into the associated device. A sealing gasket is provided with the threaded wire way. A pressure equalization vent is provided with the enclosure body for preventing pressure buildup, venting of any moisture that condenses from ambient air inside the luminary, gasketed enclosure, or wiring box, and for protecting against liquid ingress in the associated device.

  • Patent number: 8083369
Abstract: An adapter bracket which enables the installation of a door frame or louver into a recessed fixture that sits on a T-bar supported by a ceiling without having to custom design a hinge and latch system to match the original fixture or require the installation of a false frame that lifts the fixture. The brackets slide between the T-bar and the existing fixture. The bracket is also slightly wider than the T-bar opening. The door frame will keep the brackets spaced wide enough to ensure that the assembly would not fall out of the opening. The hinge and latch mechanism for the door frame is built into its end rails and latches onto the bracket to ensure the door frame is supported and held in position.

  • Patent number: 6086550
Abstract: An apparatus for imparting a rocking motion to the legs and torso of a user includes a base, a leg rest removably mounted on the base to support the legs of the user, and a drive system positioned within the base for driving an upper portion of the base to impart a rocking motion to the user.

  • Patent number: 5638639
Abstract: An emergency door, such as a fire door which closes automatically in case of fire, includes a nose piece which moves to an extended position when the door is closed to provide a seal of the gap otherwise present between the forward edge of the door and an adjacent door frame or door, and generally also interlocks with a mating portion of the adjacent frame or door. An addition latching element may be provided to extend from the top edge of the door and be received in a keeper when the door is closed. Door operating hardware, preferably all mounted interiorly of the door except for a push bar on one side of the door and a door handle on the other side, is operable to retract the nose piece and latching element when it is desired to open the door. The nose piece and latching element are held in retracted position when the door is open. A release device releases the latching element and nose piece to extend to extended position when the door is moved to a closed position.
