    Abstract: Improvements for a collapsible fishing net comprising a collapsible rim assembly, a mesh netting, a yoke assembly with a hollow central sleeve, and a handle are shown. The improvements include fabricating the sleeve and handle with mating flattened surfaces to resist torquing forces, as well as providing the net with a telescoping extension handle. Other improvements include provision for controlling the position of various net components during assembly and disassembly, as well as modifying certain other components to assure improved functioning of the net, generally.
