  • Patent number: 11910916
Abstract: A support fixture is disclosed that may be removably clamped to a bed rail (or any other support member) and includes a lower support arm attached to the removable clamp through a rotatable connector. An upper support arm is attached to a distal termination of the lower support arm via a pivot connector. The combination of the lower and upper arms is referred to at times as an articulated arm assembly. A device support member is coupled to the upper support arm via a multi-stage gimbal system, perhaps in combination with a quick-release connection (allowing for the device support component to be used as a stand-alone fixture). The device support member is particularly configured to support a computing device, a communication device, or the like.

  • Patent number: 7077596
Abstract: A two-way pocket assembly for use with a notebook (100). The pocket assembly is constructed over a window (208) formed in a subsurface material of the notebook (100). The pocket assembly includes exterior and interior pockets (104), each covering at least a portion of the window (208). The exterior and interior pockets (104) provide access to the pocket assembly from either the exterior (102) or interior (204) of the notebook (100). The pocket may be configured to receive and hold a personal electronic assistant, a cellular telephone (302), or another personal electronic device. The interior pocket includes a window material that allows visual access to the interior (204) of the pocket assembly through the material of the interior pocket (104). The pocket may be constructed so that a personal electronic assistant held inside the pocket assembly is usable through the window without removing the device from the pocket assembly.

  • Patent number: 5948498
Abstract: A multi-purpose message board having a mounting panel and a plurality of spaces thereon with a multi-page permanent record unit, and a single sheet temporary record unit mounted in two of said spaces. The message board is formed of a single sheet of material with the spaces in the form of depressions molded in the single sheet, with the permanent record unit being a calendar with the pages wire bound at the top, and with the temporary record unit being a write on/wipe off plate or cork board. The mounting panel of the message board has a perimeter flange with a backboard having one surface mounted on the flange and magnets and eyelets carried on the other surface of the backboard. • Patent number: 5527069
Abstract: A tray having a peripheral ridge that defines a tray opening for receiving articles. A tray lid having a first portion that forms a flat working surface and a second portion in sliding engagement with the tray between a closed position wherein the tray lid covers the tray opening and an extended position wherein the tray lid is adjacent the tray opening with the tray opening uncovered. The tray lid further includes a support ridge projecting below the flat working surface to support the flat working surface in a substantially level orientation when the tray lid is in the extended position.

  • Patent number: 5295758
Abstract: An improved binder attachment having a frame and an article, such as a calculator, mounted thereto. The frame includes a center portion and two arm portions. A slot engaging element is mounted to each arm portion so as to define an opening therebetween. The article is received in the opening and has a top edge surface and a bottom edge surface, each defining a slot for receiving the slot engaging elements. When the frame is attached to the binder, the article is permitted to slide along the slot engaging elements such that the article may be placed in adjacent face-up locations.

  • Patent number: 5232301
Abstract: A binder includes a notebook, a rotatable mounting assembly and an electronic processor secured to the notebook by the mounting assembly. The mounting assembly includes a frame pivotally connected to an outer edge of a notebook cover and a slip case pivotally attached to the frame. The slip case releasably secures an electronic processor such that the processor can be rotated relative to the cover to any position between a retracted position adjacent the cover inside surface and a fully extended position adjacent the cover outside surface. At the same time, the electronic processor can be selectively rotated within the frame to face any desired direction.

  • Patent number: 5219239
Abstract: A rotatable binder insert for supporting and holding such articles as calculators or other electronic devices, to-do lists and check lists, self-stick removable notes, etc., that are used to supplement, or in conjunction with, information written on the pages of the binder. Inasmuch as such information may be found on both sides of the binder rings, i.e., on both right- and left-hand pages, an article used therewith must similarly be visible and accessible on alternate sides of the binder rings. By being mounted on a support member capable of rotating 180.degree. on a frame insertable anywhere in the binder and readily attachable to the binder rings such articles can be placed alongside information found on either right or left-hand pages.
