  • Patent number: 4899444
Abstract: A unique one-piece disposable clipper head is characterized by the provision of a synthetic plastic base molded as a unitary structure about two metal cutting blades which are integrally formed with the base during an insertion molding process. The base includes a fixed portion with which the lower cutting blade is integrally formed and a movable portion with which the upper cutting blade is integrally formed. The upper movable portion and the lower fixed portion of the base are initially formed as a unitary structure. Following molding of the base, the movable portion is separated from the fixed portion to afford horizontal or lateral displacement of the movable portion and the upper blade relative to the fixed base portion and the lower blade. The base contains a recess in the bottom surface thereof for receiving the clamping mechanism of an electric clipper for attachment thereto.

  • Patent number: 4845779
Abstract: A disposable hospital gown includes body, arm, and hood portions and gloves connected with the arm portions assembled so as to provide a unitary structure impervious to fluid. The hood portion contains an enlarged viewing opening in its front surface for receiving a clear plastic visor and a ventilating mask which are connected with the hood portion in sealing relation. A protective flap is sealed to the visor to cover the ventilating mask. The gown, hood and flap are formed of a barrier material which is impervious to bodily fluids and germs. A plurality of fasteners at the rear of the body portion close a vertical opening contained therein when the device is worn. The unitary gown thus protects the wearer's body from contact with any fluids expelled from a patient's body to prevent the transmission of any disease between the wearer and the patient.

  • Patent number: 4667405
Abstract: A disposable hair clipping head assembly adapted for attachment to an electric clipper is disclosed. The assembly is characterized by a novel two-piece construction including fixed and movable members formed of synthetic plastic material. The fixed member includes a base and an integral spring having a portion thereof extending in parallel spaced relation from the base. One edge of the fixed member base contains a plurality of teeth. The movable member is arranged between the spring and base of the fixed member, with the spring serving to retain the movable member which is adapted for reciprocal movement relative to the base. One edge of the movable member also contains a plurality of teeth which are arranged adjacent the teeth of the fixed member. The fixed member also includes a pair of lugs integrally connected with the spring, the lugs being adapted for interlocking attachment to the electric clipper.

  • Patent number: 4316595
Abstract: A concrete post molding device is disclosed for simultaneously forming a plurality of uniform, reinforced concrete posts. The device includes a housing containing an annular chamber defined by a fixed horizontal first plate having a central cylindrical pipe and a spaced concentrically arranged sleeve vertically supported thereon. A plurality of circumferentially spaced radial fin members are connected with the pipe for dividing the chamber into a plurality of circumferentially arranged vertical compartments, and the first plate contains a plurality of openings arranged opposite the compartments. The concrete post molding device is characterized by novel reinforcing rod suspension and tensioning apparatus. An annular ring is connected with the upper portion of the pipe and includes a plurality of first chucks for gripping the upper portions of the reinforcing rods. The lower portions of the rods are suspended in spaced relation in the compartments and extend vertically through the first plate openings.
