The application may also include a web system services user interface for providing a graphical user interface for a user to invoke web system services that may include a new document system service, a store document system service, and a restore document system service. A schema for context scope may be implemented for collecting context information relevant to the web application document.

A request is received over a network from a user for data related to a context, wherein the request is a URL comprising a context query comprising at least one context criteria. The context criteria are parsed and translated and disambiguated. A network data query is formulated based on the context criteria so as to search, via the network, for user profile data, social network data, spatial data, temporal data and topical data that is available via the network and relates to the context query so as to identify at least one data object that relates to context criteria. Permissions relating to the identified data objects are checked and references to the data objects are transmitted over the network to the user.

Abstract: Media enhancing services for pages containing text is described. Text is analyzed to determine related additional media available on the network, and the page description is augmented with metadata to identify the additional media in an enhanced page description. When the enhanced page is rendered, the metadata facilitates incorporation of additional media in the displayed page.

Abstract: A system and method for a verified presence data marketplace. Offers for verified location data are received wherein each offer comprises an identification of at least one target user, at least one data granularity level and data reliability level and at least one offer payment term. Location data relating to the target users is retrieved from a plurality of location data sources and the reliability of the data is then verified and the data is then stored on a computer readable medium. At least one bid for verified location data from an entity is received wherein the bid relates to the offers for verified location data. An acceptance of the bid is then processed. The verified location data relating to the bid is then retrieved and is transmitted over the network to the bidding entity and the target users are paid according to the terms of the bid payment offer.

Abstract: A set of metadata for association with the composite media item and a tool for creating a composite media item with an associated set metadata. In one embodiment, the tool comprises a component for extracting a portion of a first media item having first metadata and for extracting a portion of a second media item having second metadata, a component for combining the first portion and the second portion to form a composite media item, and a component for analyzing the first metadata and the second metadata to extract portions of the first and second metadata to form a new set of metadata for association with the composite media item. In one embodiment, the new metadata is a data container.

Abstract: The disclosure describes systems and methods of ranking user interest in physical entities based on the attention given to those entities as determined by an analysis of communications from devices over multiple communication channels. The attention ranking systems allow any “Who, What, When, Where” entity to be defined and ranked based, at least in part, on information obtained from communications between users and user proxy devices. An entity rank is generated for entity known to the system in which the entity rank is derived from the information in communications that are indicative of user actions related to the entity. The entity ranks are then used to modify the display of information or data associated with the entities. The system may also generate a personal rank for each entity based on the relation of the entity to a specified user.

Abstract: A media object, such as an image file, a video file, or an audio file, is analyzed to determine relationships between persons associated with the media object, which may include persons captured in the media object and/or a person that captured the media object. A representation of a first person captured in a media object is detected. The media object is analyzed to determine at least one indicator of a relation between the first person and a second person associated with the media object. A relationship between the first person and the second person is predicted based at least on the determined at least one relation indicator. The media object may be monetized in various ways, such as by directing advertisements to persons associated with the media object, and/or to persons having social connections to the persons associated with the media object.

Abstract: Routing information (e.g., routing information displayed in an electronic map or provided as verbal travel directions) is generated and presented to a user in a tailored manner. A request for routing information is received from a user. Spatial data, temporal data, social data, or topical data is retrieved that is related to the user and/or to a location or change of location of the user. Based on the retrieved data and the routing information, information display data is generated, and is provided to an electronic device of the user to generate an information display. An attribute of the information display is configured/modified based on the location information and/or on the spatial data, temporal data, social data, and/or topical data. For example, a display attribute and/or an audio attribute of the information display may be modified.

When the CDE runs with a game mechanic, users may be rewarded with on-network credits, game points, “ownership” of territories on the map or reputation, and the network credits and game points may be redeemed for, e.g., cash, products, services or frequent flyer miles. Customizing advocacy is done by selecting one or more advocates most likely to induce a potential customer to engage in a transaction with a product, brand, or service. To select these one or more advocates, an advocate ranking is generated, wherein advocates are ranked by a total advocacy value (an estimation of the likelihood that an advocate will induce a potential customer to engage in a transaction with a product, brand, or service). The total advocacy value is determined by monitoring data regarding advocates, and applying that data to a model. The data can be derived from the interactions of real world entities (RWEs) with the network as well as from information objects (IOs) accessible by the network.

Abstract: A system and method for reporting and analysis of media consumption data. A request is received over a network from a requesting user for consumption data relating to at least one media object, the request comprising an identification of the media objects. Spatial, temporal, topical, and social data available to the network relating to consumption of the media object are retrieved using a global index of data available to the network. The spatial, temporal, topical, and social data available to the network relating to consumption of the media objects are transmitted, over the network to the requesting user.

Abstract: A system and method for Context Enhanced Mapping. A request is received from a user over a network for a map comprising an identification of a physical location, and at least one criteria. The physical location is mapped. Spatial, temporal, topical, and social data available to the network relating to the physical location and criteria is retrieved using a global index of data available to the network and prioritized for inclusion based upon the user and context of the request. The map of the physical location and at least some of the retrieved spatial, temporal, topical, and social data is displayed on a user interface.
