  • Patent number: 6198034
Abstract: An electronic tone generation system comprises a plurality of portable handheld wireless transmitters, with each transmitter representing at least one music note and being operative to transmit a signal indicative of that at least one note. A receiver receives the signals from the transmitters, and control logic connected to the receiver is operative to determine the at least one note corresponding to a received signal and to determine at least one tone assigned to that at least one note. A tone generator produces tones in accordance with the determinations of the control logic.

  • Patent number: 4159491
Abstract: A bell instrument for providing a true sound of cast bells, comprising a plurality of bell record modules, each such module being programmable by both automatic means and manual means and having a continuous tape, or other types of magnetic material (floppy disc or drum), encoding of bell music and control means for operating same, the control means for each tape comprising means for playing a predetermined programmed portion of such music and returning the tape to a start position. In a preferred embodiment, a tape module is employed having a multi-track continuous tape, each track having a respective predetermined portion thereof containing encoded signals representing bell music and a respective other portion thereof containing no encoded music, with accompanying means for selecting and playing the music from any one of said tracks and controlling the tape transport from sensed control information or the lack thereof on a given predetermined one of said tracks.

  • Patent number: 4092893
Abstract: A carillon keyboard instrument is provided for playing bells and auxiliary bell tones, with a pedal provided for allowing the player to adjust the relative intensities of the major and minor tones of the bells. The instrument utilizes two sets of vibrator bars, a first set for generating major tones, and a second set for generating minor tones. By mixing the derived signals from corresponding major and minor vibrator bars, and adjusting the relative intensity of the minor signal strength, a new flexibility is provided to the instrument player for generating desired Flemish bell tones.
