    Abstract: A shielded electrical computer cable connector that has high strength and resistance to crushing forces includes a shield base and a shield cover formed from die cast zinc which together form a shielded chamber. A shielded cable is received in one end of the shielded chamber and a connector module having electrical terminals is secured to the other end of the shielded chamber. The shield base has several conductor alignment columns which retain cable wiring within the chamber in alignment with the terminals in the connector module, and which also support the shield cover.
