Abstract: A detachable hand protection device constructed of a elastomeric polymeric composition interfits over one or both ends of hand wrenches of either open ended or closed ended configuration having a hexagonal longitudinal opening through the length of the body of the jacket to grip the wrench body member from the sides with a "V" shaped wall surface from each side and having openings through the top and the bottom of the jacket allowing the wrench end being held to be switched around and engage a nut or bolt head while the device is in place and having an end wall of reduced thickness to stretch over a wide range of sized wrenches.
