  • Patent number: 9246232
Abstract: A multilayer antenna is provided, which includes a power supply portion generating a wave, a radiating portion, and a guide portion that makes it possible to guide the wave from the power supply portion to the radiating portion. The guide portion includes: at least two stacked guide layers having parallel planes and, for each pair of adjacent layers, a transition between the adjacent layers, including a reflector engaging with a slot-coupling. For at least one pair of adjacent layers, for which the guide portion includes a non-planar reflector, the slot-coupling includes a plurality of slots. Each slot includes a main body that is elongate along at least one axis. The slots are placed on at least one row and together form a pattern that extends along the reflector and has a shape that is dependent on the shape of the reflector.

  • Publication number: 20150123863
Abstract: A compact dual-polarization planar power splitter comprises at least four asymmetric orthomode transducers (OMTs) connected in an array suitable for being coupled in-phase to a dual orthogonal polarization feed source via two power distributors mounted perpendicularly in relation to one another, each power distributor comprising at least two lateral metal waveguides disposed parallel to one another, and a transverse metal waveguide coupled perpendicularly to the two lateral metal waveguides and four ends of the lateral waveguides coupled respectively to the four asymmetric OMTs.

  • Publication number: 20150123867
Abstract: A power splitter comprises at least two mutually parallel lateral waveguides with rectangular cross-section and a transverse waveguide with rectangular cross-section comprising two opposite ends respectively connected to the two lateral waveguides. The two lateral waveguides are oriented along a direction Y and mounted flat with their large side parallel to a plane XY, the transverse waveguide is oriented along a direction X perpendicular to the direction Y and mounted edgewise with its small side parallel to the plane XY, and each lateral waveguide is coupled to the transverse waveguide by a tee coupler in the E-plane with embedded junction, the two ends of the transverse waveguide being respectively embedded in each lateral waveguide, at the centre of the said respective lateral waveguide.

  • Patent number: 8976072
Abstract: A flat scanning antenna comprises at least one slotted waveguide array comprising two dielectric substrates, one superposed above the other. The two substrates comprise the same number of waveguides, which are in mutual correspondence and communicate between them, pairwise, via corresponding coupling slots. Each waveguide of the upper substrate further includes a plurality of radiating slots, all the radiating slots being mutually parallel and oriented in the same direction and each waveguide of the lower substrate includes an individual internal supply circuit comprising an individual phase-shift/amplification electronic circuit.

  • Publication number: 20140354499
Abstract: A multi-beam former comprises: two stages connected together and intended to synthesize beams focused along two directions in space; each stage comprises at least two multi-layer plane structures, superposed one above the other; each multi-layer structure comprises an internal reflector, at least two first internal sources disposed in front of the internal reflector and linked to two input/output ports aligned along an axis, at least two second internal sources disposed in a focal plane of the internal reflector and linked to two second input/output ports aligned along an axis perpendicular to the axis; the two second internal sources of the same multi-layer structure of the first stage are respectively linked to two first internal sources of two different multi-layer structures of the second stage.

  • Publication number: 20130207859
Abstract: A radiating element is provided, for example for array antenna, having stacked resonant cavities of Pérot-Fabry type, of compact structure, a lower cavity being fed by excitation means, the radiating element being characterized in that corrugations are formed substantially below a first earth plane delimiting in its lower part the upper resonant cavity. A radiating element structure of improved compactness is also proposed, whose upper cavity is surmounted by a polarizing radome.
