  • Patent number: 5842892
Abstract: A lockable plug connector includes a prong strip housing which contains prong contacts and onto which a multichambered bush housing with bush contacts, connected to electric lines, can be plugged and locked by a snap connection, so that the prong contacts are put into electrical contact with the bush contacts. For the sake of attaining a very compact structure, a cover cap is thrust onto the plug contact side of the bush housing, and with this cap a secondary securing of the bush contacts is achieved. An annular wall of the prong strip housing fits over the cover cap completely and terminates at an end surface in an encompassing recess of the bush housing. For sealing purposes, a sealing plate can be disposed inside the bush housing, a sealing ring can be disposed between the prong strip housing and the bush housing, and a sealing ring encompassing the outer wall of the prong strip housing can be provided.

  • Patent number: 5814765
Abstract: A waterproof housing with a plug-and-socket connection for protecting electronic circuits includes a hard plastic upper part and a hard plastic lower part. A soft plastic extruded seal is disposed between the upper part and the lower part. A plug part is constructed in one piece with the upper or lower part. The plug part has a hard plastic inner part containing contact pins and a soft plastic sealing collar surrounding the inner part.

  • Patent number: 5810626
Abstract: A plug connector has a housing of insulating material with at least one row of contact chambers into which contact elements can be inserted. The inserted contact elements can be secured with a securing slide which can be inserted orthogonally to a plugging direction of the plug connector into a gap of the housing. The securing slide has a primary detent edge orthogonally to the plugging direction of the plug connector, extending along two long sides of the securing slide and a segmented detent edge extending below the primary edge for secondary securing.

  • Patent number: 5722843
Abstract: A plug connector housing assembly includes an outer housing and an inner housing to be nested together in a plug-in direction. The housings include sides having approximately parallel opposed side walls with inner and outer surfaces. The side walls of the outer housing define an insertion opening with a peripheral region. A locking mechanism in the form of a rack extends in the plug-in direction on one of the side walls. A lever is associated with another of the side walls. A shaft is perpendicular to the plug-in direction and associated with the lever. A gear wheel segment meshes with the rack, is firmly connected to the lever on the other of the side walls and is rotatably supported on the other of the side walls about the shaft. The rack and the gear wheel segment are disposed at least at one of the sides, between the inner wall surface of the outer housing and the opposite outer wall surface of the inner housing.

  • Patent number: 5580260
Abstract: A connector is provided having a pin plug with a plurality of first socket contacts for connection to system wires. The connector also has a mated socket plug with a plurality of second socket contacts for connection to system wires. The pin plug and socket plug can be coupled together for connecting the first and second socket contacts with pins secured in the pin plug. A short-circuit bridge is integrated in the socket plug for short-circuiting two of the second contacts when the pin plug and socket plug are uncoupled. An electrical filter component is integrated in the pin plug, the filter component being connected in series between one of the first socket contacts and a respective second socket contact upon coupling.

  • Patent number: 5466168
Abstract: A two-legged contact spring with a spring base, at least one contact leg and a U-shaped bend is provided as a short-circuit bridge for the connection of two contact elements. The contact leg is freely yielding and has a projection which contactingly rests directly at a transitional region of the contact element. Therefore, the spring work is carried out exclusively by the short-circuit bridge. The spring form and position of the contact point ensures an optimal spring action at low operating forces.
