  • Patent number: 5848628
Abstract: A decorative assembly for window treatments. The assembly includes a curtain rod and one or more elongated decorative devices. The curtain rod includes a linear main body portion and end portions bent at right angles to the main body portion. Each elongated decorative device includes an elongated foam member having a central axial passage and a ductile wire positioned loosely in the passage. The decorative device is secured to and extends along the elongated main body portion of the rod. The foam member further includes a slit extending the length of the member and interconnecting the exterior of the member to the passage whereby to allow passage of the wire through the slit to position the wire loosely in the passage. The decorative device further includes an elongated fabric sleeve positioned in surrounding relation to the foam member. A plurality of elongated decorative devices are braided together and extend along the main body portion of the rod in intertwisted relation.

  • Patent number: 5542135
Abstract: A self-retaining bumper pad for a bed is fabricated from elongated body of a soft, flexible material and includes a retention portion which fits between a side wall of the bed and an edge of the mattress and functions to hold the bumper pad in place. • Patent number: 5505245
Abstract: A foam cornice window treatment which is mountable on a curtain rod assembly including one or more flat, slat-like members. The foam cornice is formed of resilient foam material and includes a front non-planar surface which meets a rear, planar surface. One or more channels are formed on the rear face of the cornice for engagement with the slot(s) of the curtain rod assembly. The cornice includes a pair of rear slots formed on the rear face into which edges of a fabric covering may be tucked. Because of the resiliency of the foam body, the slots will open to receive the fabric edges, but will resiliently spring back to grip the fabric edges and hold them in place. A slot may also be formed on the front face of the cornice so that an intermediate portion of the fabric covering may be tucked thereinto to create a puffy, decorative effect.
