  • Publication number: 20230214978
Abstract: A method of detecting a deformation in a lattice structure comprises capturing first image data of the lattice structure via a first image capturing device with a first telecentric lens and a second image capturing device with a second telecentric lens. The first telecentric lens is directed toward the lattice structure, and the second telecentric lens is spaced apart from the first telecentric lens and also directed toward the lattice structure. The method includes compressing the lattice structure; capturing second image data of the lattice structure via the first and second image capturing devices; and detecting the deformation based at least in part on the first and second image data.

  • Patent number: 11073501
Abstract: A system and method for the non-destructive testing of additively manufactured parts. An input mechanism excites with an excitation force (e.g., a vibration) an additive manufacturing build structure, which includes a part on a build platform, to induce a dynamic response in the part. An output mechanism (e.g., a non-contact transducer) senses the induced dynamic response in the part. A processor determines and examines the relationship between the response and excitation to identify an indication of a defect in the part, and communicates an alert if the indication is identified. The processor may compare the phase, magnitude, coherence, or time delay of the relationship to a reference relationship and/or may compare the modal frequency or the modal damping to a reference to identify a deviation greater than a pre-established threshold.

  • Publication number: 20190320800
Abstract: The purpose of this device is to give assistance to a person that is standing in a particular area for an extended amount of time. This is achieved for people of different heights by having a rotating joint at the base. A saddle joint at the base of the housing enables this device to be adjustable. The seat portion can rotate to adjust to different people. This supporting system is designed to bear some of the load while standing, to accommodate a more ergonomic environment for the person standing.

  • Patent number: 8706329
Abstract: A method of facilitating movement of a vessel in a specific navigation environment. Characteristics of the vessel are evaluated relative to conditions in the environment to define a navigation procedure. The procedure is described on a navigational chart that includes information from sources of navigation-related experience, e.g., sovereign governmental authorities, hydrographic offices, port authorities, communication authorities, vessel masters, operators and port pilots. The vessel is indicated as geographically referenced to points in the environment indicative of successive positioning of the vessel in accordance with the procedure. Using such procedures can streamline coordination among masters, operators and ports and can shorten time needed to plan and perform navigation in complex environments.

  • Publication number: 20080155264
Abstract: A computer anti-virus system is disclosed. The computer anti-virus system can have multiple detection layers and can include a first memory and a second memory. The computer anti-virus system can have a reduced first memory size requirement for a fingerprint signature based anti-virus application program by putting off to the second memory those signatures that are redundantly detected on other layers. Thus, performance can be enhanced and/or costs can be reduced.
