  • Patent number: 6047725
Abstract: An adjustable height fill valve for controlling the water level in a storage tank for a toilet includes a riser mounted in the tank and connected to a pressurized water supply. The riser includes an anti-siphon body telescopically mounted over a fixed shank. The anti-siphon body telescopically adjusts between retracted and extended positions. A pilot valve is mounted on the anti-siphon body in fluid communication with the water supply. A float is mounted in association with the pilot valve to selectively open or close the pilot valve depending on the water level in the tank. A latch on the anti-siphon body and a series of stops on the shank are releasably engageable to adjustably fix the position of the body on the shank between the retracted and extended positions. The stops comprise first and second sets of axially spaced and interleaved fingers which define a serpentine track into which the latch extends.

  • Patent number: 5535776
Abstract: A device for the top mounting of a faucet to a sink includes a generally cylindrical sleeve having a threaded shank with an internal diameter of a size to receive the body of a faucet and the water connections thereto. The sleeve has an outwardly extending shoulder at one end and an upstanding wall at the extremity of the shoulder. The shoulder is formed and adapted to seat upon the top of a sink. Beneath the sink the shank of the sleeve carries an elastomeric washer which is positioned adjacent the bottom of the sink, a hard washer positioned adjacent the elastomeric washer, and a nut which is threaded onto the shank. The nut urges the hard washer against the seal washer and the seal washer in turn forms a seal with the bottom of the sink.

  • Patent number: 5397102
Abstract: A faucet housing includes a hollow copper base and at least one copper inlet conduit in communication with the hollow interior of the base. The conduit is brazed to the base with a no-lead solder so that the combination of the conduit, solder and base provides a lead-free environment for water passing therethrough. There is a hollow plastic body coaxial with the base, with the hollow interior of the body and the base together being of a size and shape to receive a faucet cartridge therein. There is an outlet opening in the body and there is a seal ring positioned between the body and the base. The body and base include interlocking structure for attaching the two together to form a lead-free faucet housing.
