  • Patent number: 6286266
Abstract: A modified monopole tower is described, consisting primarily of a galvanized steel truncated pyramidal monopole capped by cellular phone apparatus. In the preferred embodiment, the monopole head is ringed by three coronae of steel female receptors which are welded to the pyramidal head of the tower. Artificial palm fronds are attached to the receptors primarily by mechanical means. The modified monopole tower is designed to function optimally under all weather conditions, while beautifying the landscape with attachment of indigenous tree components.

  • Patent number: 6026627
Abstract: An electrical powered transmission tower is modified to also support a telecommunications antenna. The tower has a plurality of legs interconnected by lattice braces. A support column is erected within the enclosure of the tower. The support column has a base anchored in the ground on a concrete foundation. The column extends upward through the tower and protrudes through the top. The antenna is mounted to the upper end of the column. Fasteners secure the column to the tower for lateral support.

  • Patent number: 5787649
Abstract: A modified monopole tower is described, consisting primarily of a galvanized steel truncated pyramidal monopole capped by wireless electronic communications antennae and equipment. In the preferred embodiment, the simulated trunk containing the monopole exhibits protruding receptors which in turn support artificial palm fronds, and artificial pine boughs and branches. The artificial palm fronds, branches, and boughs are attached to the receptors primarily by mechanical and adhesive means. The modified monopole tower is designed to function optimally under all weather conditions, while imitating the landscape with attachment of indigenous tree components.

  • Patent number: 5584248
Abstract: A tamping vehicle uses a split tool mechanical vibrator having corresponding front and back vibrator units powered by a single motor. Sprockets and a synchronous sprocket belt drive front and back units to vibrate 180 degrees out of phase. A lubricant carrying belt carries oil to the top of a housing for lubricating and cooling various moving parts. Squeeze cylinders are used to move tamping tools to squeeze in positions by rotating the tamping tools about the same axes as rotation of vibration inducing shafts. Independently liftable gauge and field side tamping assemblies allow use at railroad switches and other locations where narrow width tamping is needed. A tamping tool provides easy connection to a tamping tool holder in such a way that two tamping tools may be mounted to one tool holder.

  • Patent number: 4899664
Abstract: There is described a track travelling railroad switch tamping machine which has a transversally extending guide frame at its front end and four ballast tamping units one each mounted in individual sub-frames which are mounted on the guide frame. Hydraulic power means are provided to individually move each of the sub-frames with its tamping unit, transversally of the vehicle on the guide frames, independentally of each other sub-frame. Individual hydraulic power devices are provided on each sub-frame for individually raising and lowering each tamping unit within its own sub-frame, independently of the other tamping units.

  • Patent number: 4565133
Abstract: A railroad track lifting and aligning device mounted for track travel on a longitudinally extending main frame of a track working machine and having a track aligning sub-frame extending transversely of the main frame. Wheels on the sub-frame engage the rails of the track, and rail contacts on the sub-frame engage the inside of each of the rails of the track. A track lifting rail hook guide member is provided for each of the rails of the track mounted for vertical movement on and relative to the sub-frame at each end thereof on vertically extending guide-rods on the sub-frame. A rail hook for externally engaging a rail of the track is provided in each of the guide members, and an apparatus for adjusting the position of a rail hook in its guide member, longitudinally of the sub-frame is provided.
